When I was a kid I was crazy for fishing. Being 12, 13, 14 etc and a little too young to drive I begged my folks to take me fishing all spring and summer. Mom & dad owned a place up on the hill between Canadice and Hemlock Lakes and my buddy Steve and I were always getting dropped of at some farm pond, creek or either of the two mentioned lakes, we begged for a lift! (wish like heck there was Lyft or Uber THEN!!) Springwater Creek and the Cohocton River were favorites when I was down in "the country". At home in Amherst we had a few spots to hit, one of them was a very small creek running through a ritzy neighborhood. I crushed the bullheads and suckers there! Breadballs on a hand line did the trick, no rod or reel was necessary. As I got older and started driving, girls, hunting and work took up most of my time. My buddy Steve just didn't do it for me as much anymore I still fished but just not as much as I did when I was younger. How about your childhood and more so, how about your kids, are THEY into it?

Gut feelings are usually right.........I had that feeling as soon as I saw that blow hard, maybe 30 seconds of the show and I didn't like they guy. Among many others would be that Pig Man guy. The Fitzgerald family is another I can't stand to watch.

I have a 3/8-1/2 hole in my cedar wrapped beam on my new over hang. The dirty SOB carpenter bee drilled the hole not three weeks after I finished the Sikkens treatment..........2012taco (member here) made me a couple traps that are supposed to work on them. We'll see......... Oh yea, I waited a few days then sprayed the hole with some good stuff then stuffed a little steel wool in to discourage anymore that think there's anything good inside.

We had (I was cooking!!) French Toast. All that is is a delivery system for Dinsdale's maple syrup. Oh and it was great!

Ahhhh, here's the thing grampy..........it may not be for you but maybe your grandchildren will take a shining to it. Like I said once or twice before (grin) you just can't imagine the fun time you can have hunting these birds; shooting, dog work and to top it off, excellent table fare. Trust me...........
