Thanks phade. That is good info I'll play with and put to use this summer. 4th of July is when I start to hang mine and get a peak at all the young fawns, doe and velvet horned bucks.
You take it to a much higher degree than me and most others here and I and I hope others appreciate the tips.
I've always used the 60 second setting with a three shot burst and can totally see (THAT doesn't make sense ) what I could be missing.
The recent thread concerning camera delays has me wondering...........what do you set yours for?
I'd imagine different settings in different scenarios?
How about burst modes?
Thanks!!
(anybody else wants to chime in with their thoughts, please do)
Nahh, I posted the best of the three shots in the burst. That one shows the beard and spurs, WGAF about the head?
As far as cougars, they heard we had a Cat killin' machine named Biz in NYS and are scarce as can be.............
Pretty darn neat! I like how the shooter stayed cool when she hung up with the tree in front or her vitals. Cool a s a cucumber.......................................
NOT my strong suit. I'd have tried to mow that tree down.........................
Pulled a camera that had been out for about 35 days. Approx. 400 pics and most of them were critters! Fox, coyote, deer, rabbit, hawk, squirrel, skunk and turkey. I think thats all of them??
Here we go..........
Nice score on the horns LTDH.
It was a great day to get outside. I started out inside though, meeting John (WNYBuckHunter) and his two lovely children for breakfast in Lima. Afterwards I went to a friends in Canadice and did some shooting. A few shots with the 223ai and 243 then a few cylinders of 44 specials in the new Ruger Flattop.
I had one trail cam still in action that needed to be pulled and some more spots to check out, all the time searching for sheds. Never found a single one but did find a dead buck from I'm guessing two falls ago.
Most areas were free of snow but I did run into a few places of annoying unmelted accumulation. One area towards the end of my hike was covered in ice. I figured I'd take a short cut and chance it..........bad move. Broke through and went in up to my knees. Fortunately and strangely my boots were tied very tight and only my right foot got a little wet. My pants were soaked and my judgment tainted..................
Another couple spots to check out and I was on the road, tired & happy.
