This has been one of the most frustrating rut hints I've seen. Been hunting over 30 years and have had my property in Catt county for 12. Have always taken vacation and been in stand from Nov 1 - 10 faithfully every season. No matter when they predict the rut have always had at least a couple of those awesome days you live all year for in that span. This year has been tough Occasional signs of it getting good and then nothing. Back out again under the umbrella with rain here this morning. Not going to give up yet. Have until tomorrow evening. I hear ya. It starts to look good once in a while and then right back to nothing happening. I think down here in 9M its pointing to weekend and early next week, which sucks because I go back Sunday after being here since the first.

Saw a big 8 cross wide open field today at 11 scent checking for does. Also hearing some grunting in the woods. Things are looking up!

9M is a dead zone. Nothing moving at all. Out 3 days in a row. Saw 1 doe 1 small buck. I was seeing more action the first week of October! Here for next 10 days so going the switch gets turned on!
