Other threads have had the info, but i'm posting this anyway. At Bass Pro yesterday afternoon as I was out near Utica for work. They had just one Indian Creek Black Diamond choke left that'd fit my Benelli. I've been thinking about getting one for a while. None seemed to be around and not available anymore on the website. Not sure why. Looking to pattern it soon and see how it does. heard good things about them.

in a lot of new mags that last round is a PITA. philoshop has it right. i'd honestly trim much less at a time if you do.

i bought a property that was a foreclosure. lol i did rake the front a week or so ago on a nice day. a lot of thatch and leaves came up. the zero turn is still at the farm and i'll get it ready soon. no point in doing anything with the lawn. i'm getting the equipment over to the house. ripping up trees and/or shrubs out front by road and along house. some more off the the side where i'm digging everything up to put a garage. it'll look like a motocross track if anything for a while.

so you're saying they still sell a lot of it down there then. good for them.

Just roosted turkeys for nothing. Leaving early in the morning. Ok though. Off the back deck and didn't even need to get shoes on. Just cracked open the last of the Treehouse. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Good Luck to all the Youth Hunters Tomorrow
dbHunterNY replied to moog5050's topic in Turkey Hunting
kids aren't ok if they get wet. got to tote a blind for that rainy day dilemma. might not gobble but a good high crested open field in a strut zone is always a good bet for late morning rain. -
Jdubs listed some big ones. Burlington Beer Company and Frost Beer Works is a good stop. Prohibition Pig in Waterbury also good.

had to pull this one from the ashes. it's still funny.

Good Luck to all the Youth Hunters Tomorrow

i'll be out of town tomorrow. hadn't recruited any kids to take out. i'll probably setup a blind and hide some decoys on the farm in case any kids looking to hunt last minute. -
if you get the Hornady Superformance ammo to shoot well out of your rifle that'd be gold. I tried it in my varmint rifle and it was horrific the groups i got with it. Haven't tried it in larger caliber rifles.

Realtree heated jacket
dbHunterNY replied to Water Rat's topic in Hunting Gear Reviews and Gear Discussions
i've heard of it. Don't know anyone with one. I don't really like the idea of using one and dressing lighter while depending on the heat. Better to dress accordingly without the heat and then turn it on to take off the chill from being on stand a while? -

Utility stuff can be cool and often old. It lasts a long time and doesn't get fixed unless broke. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Yours is above mine. Still that's my problem most likely if I think about it. I fill all the trays right full. I have much less trays but the concept is the same need real good air flow or the spots closest to the heat get hotter and dry more than the rest. I tossed the directions. to be fair i haven't scouted much. i do think there's not many birds on the farm. much of the ground has gone from corn to hay fields with little alfalfa. seems it'd be great nesting but birds just aren't there. neighboring cousins have corn so that's probably where they all are prior to breaking up and wandering.

i have a 4 tray Oster dehydrator. seems to work fine. i rotate the trays once when making jerky just for consistency between trays. seems to work fine everything i do but it depends on what you're using it for.

the middle number is probably the pole height (length) and the bottom number is probably the pole class (thickness/diameter). i think we usually just see southern pine poles (labeled "SPP") here in NY if they're wooden poles.
