nice hope he sticks around this season. maybe he'll switch to being a home body now. should have daylight pics if that ends up being the case.

trigger pulls don't make you cringe when your cost is a fraction of what people are paying for now. I have reloading components except maybe hotter large rifle primers for the deer rifles. when i made it to action pistol shoots this summer i was shooting 9mm at $0.15-.20 per round vs over a $1 that some shooters paid with recently bought ammo. we were doing a shoot per week. isn't cheap when you shoot multiple mags per stage and a handful of stages per shoot. they enjoyed it though so good for them.

mojo - sound was purpose of that post. agree boosted and tuned boosted is a big difference.

I have an Axcel Rheotech fixed pin sight up on Ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/165134194910 This one auction is currently at half price they normally are, but I also might have another one kicking around (also new in package) if anyone is interested. Sight is black with sight housing cover to adjust pin brightness. 0.029" pins that are some of the brightest around though. 2nd and 3rd axis adjustment. it's ambi as you can pull it apart to make it right or left handed. tool-less knobs for rack elevation and windage adjustments. micro adjust knob for pin elevation. Axcel sights are just about bomb proof but I've off loaded some of my bows and currently have nothing to put one on.

get that the hell out of the basement! there was a point i tagged piles of 2.5 yr bucks and lost many of them because i didn't care. i'd give anything to have the antlers of my first buck, let alone a mount. I mean damn my mom has a photo in an album and copy in a photo quilt thing she has. probably the only reason i have a pic of it. snapped with my smart phone.

https://youtu.be/RGkxbfFDdtE 1:40 in twin turbo 6 raptor vs charged v8.

even the Hennessey sounds like dog crap versus the V8 rumble. is what it is. https://youtu.be/anP6k7dw00E

i agree with The_Real_TCIII on both points. I wish I had antlers from my first buck. local domestic dogs hijacked it from our garage. should've never left it sitting on a 5gal pail

it replaced the "farm truck" i drove around. '13 V8 that got 16ish mpg no matter what. on paper engine performance they're still the same. driving the V8 had a little more grunt for a fraction of a second but the V6 feels like it pulls just as hard. almost of a decade of little tweaks of improvement makes a difference i guess. my cousin has a chipped durango hemi 392. he eats a gas bill but says "smiles per mile" vs mpg.
-
yea a V8 can. it's expensive, from Hennessey, and it's not naturally aspirated though. i eyed them for so long but figured i'd cause me a divorce and kids would have to work through college or trade school.
-
i no nothing of what's being said here. i have a Chevy V6.... no turbo, let alone two and a tune. in all seriousness though everybody raves about them hauling out here heading further north. elevation sucks the heck out of a naturally aspirated vehicle. (no sarcasm but true to the description) my sissy truck was able to tow a two place trailer full of gear and sleds while dragging some dink in a turbo 4 banger compact SUV that was hanging out at the back of my trailer. up a steep mountain around here around 1/2 mile above sea level, despite that's not saying much. i like the 23mpg I get daily driving but there is a thing for smiles per mile if you're caring about being thrifty.

I've had no issues. Get pictures sent noon and midnight so hopefully it doesn't miss deer with IR trigger. I've kept wifi off at home. Just cell data that's unlimited. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

I don't have them in front of me. Is your point a hair larger than the insert? Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

Easton Raiders have what looks to be an Easton H-nock that has a distinct look. If that's the case you're 6mm size shafts and a 9/32" dia point. Just a touch smaller than 5/16". Better to be slightly to small versus too big sizing to point to the insert. Otherwise it'll catch and pull harder from targets as well as it may over time pull your insert out, leaving it still in target. Problem then is you have to figure out what insert and associated weight that came with them so your arrows match. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

readying other posts in here I'm realizing i need a job that affords me more vacation. lol

peak breeding that the rut is based around happens close to the same time every year. whether your plugged into the action or not just depends on if the closest hot doe are in your spot or the next wood lot or field over. opening days with hunters hitting the woods with lead flying gets deer moving. I scheduled to take off for the opening week of gun season in Kentucky, just prior to start of opening week of southern zone gun season here in NY. If I tag out early I'll be jumping the border on the way home to hunt Ohio. lol no surprise the woods should be lit up then.

Wrong photo! Haha We did give them $2,500. $5k total between two NDA branches. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

at the farm we always used those hanging strips. best to keep doors and windows closed and screens in good shape. keep them out of your house to begin with it.
-
it has been set to default 12MB. not sure how much image resolution and clarity i'm gaining though with just taking inventory of bucks via the low res pics sent through the app. i'll knock it down to 8MP to test it out.

I just joined your page on FB not knowing it was yours. Cool I see Ruth is on there too. After seeing the total s*** storm of complainers on there, know that's not my intent and happy as a new tactacam user. Seems like I got my answers here, in which i just wanted to know if pictures were actually gone or not. seems like they are. Only issues I've had though is this weird app glitch that some how deletes all photos which is a bummer. checked the account page link that suburban farmer posted and it does seems like they aren't there anymore. i'll leave them be from here on out though. it's set to loop with a 32 GB card anyway which makes me feel like an idiot. habit of staying on top of photos i guess. i honestly didn't really notice issues with not sending pictures as expected. have cams set to twice daily sending, have been on the go with wifi off, and messing with getting settings configured to my liking anyway.
-
That's what I was looking for. Couldn't seem to figure it out going through the website home page. looks like i some how did. oh well. hopefully the big guys are on a pattern and came in early this morning. I'll get the next batch of photos at noon. Thanks.

Dave I went from an galaxy S something to an Galaxy S20 couple years ago. Wife did both our phones. All apps and settings transfered seamlessly. You should be good but take it to the store and have them do it if you're worried. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

New pictures sent. Seems I never had camera get lost from app or a problem sending pictures. Didn't get the old pictures back though. They still aren't there. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

Getting caught up with a lot of updates. On September 20th the Capital District Sportsman Center held a deer hunting 101 Q and A session live on Facebook. They brought in some local experienced individuals for a wealth of knowledge when it comes to deer hunting. This panel ranged from a Region 4 DEC biologist, a local ECO, retired hunt Ed instructor, to NDA volunteers (yours truly Local public hunting access, deer senses, deer behavior/patterns related to hunting, regulations, emergency situations, and go-to gear to have with you in the field.
