All this talk of towing, HP, and turbos is funny. My uncle is a multi-time superstock tractor pulling champ and has diesel shop. Pulling tractor had 4 monster turbos and burned so much fuel they injected water to keep the motor cool enough from melting down.They all used to tow tractors, weights, etc home with diesel dually pickups. I bought a new Silverado. I got nothing to offer other than a ride when one of those turbos loses boost down the road when you're towing. Boosted motors can be animals but they aren't for longevity unless you're okay with working on them. IMO Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

Whatever a scrap yard gives you. I doubt the copper windings inside the motor are "clean" so I wouldn't bother removing. Have to drain any oil or fluids from it. Based on condition and fact it probably hasn't been exercised with load its probably not working. Sent from my SM-G781V using Tapatalk

Congrats on a great buck larry! I've helped score some but nothing official and haven't had any officially scored for myself. A lot of older 4.5+ yr old bucks out here have been died and been sent into a lab for verified age and wouldn't give your buck a run on score. Something else i know.... Net is for fish.
