When chaos hits you go for supplies. Red crowler cans are Hill Farmstead society and solitude #6. Had one for lunch. Now a regular old juice bomb. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

Slightly smaller crowd for us too and we upped the bounty of prizes out the door. Broke records in past, but then work load starts to over shoot how much fundraising you're actually getting back. Rather retain folks with smiles and arms full walking out the door. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

what draw weight are you shooting? I don't think I'm ending up that heavy with a 60lb bow. probably stay at 480-490 grains. otherwise i'd use one basic pin and shoot an arrow a lot heavier than that. it's almost a glorified trad bow at that point.

the unfortunate thing is "need" is always subject to abuse and exploitation. nobody should have a problem with people hunting for food when in need. However, any hunting should be done through an emergency extended or extra season, where DEC monitors the deer take that's reported at least if not better than it typically is. History has showed us that when there's such a demand wild game populations can be wiped out and selling of game largely benefiting those with the least conscience.

When all the stores are getting crazy we're still digging into the freezer. Whipped up olossal shrimp, roasted red peppers, and alfredo in the cast iron pan then dumped it over linguini. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

You've got more potential for bone than we do by a lot. It's very rare here to get them past 4.5 even on managed property and luck. Dont have the numbers or sq mile to help either. Just is what it is. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

What's your Bonehead moments while turkey hunting.
dbHunterNY replied to mowin's topic in Turkey Hunting
probably the most common mistake in turkey hunting. call for a while, wait, call again, wait, figure nothing's coming in, get up on your feet, and then watch the birds that were seconds from coming into view run off putting. has happened multiple times. -
we out this way struggle with the popp'em when young action too. ....wait. you meant the record book. nevermind.

we had new england polled herefords on the family farm for most of my life growning up. black angus are over rated. more in how you raise, finish, and butcher them. i'm not sure i get owning walking ribeyes on the other side of the country. seems like a logistical dependence problem if you ask me.

i have and had to use each backup bow i had at the time for different reasons. they're all fairly new. right now my back up bow was used all this past season. it's a '16 Elite Victory I have setup for outdoor 3D.

16th Annual UHRV Banquet
dbHunterNY replied to dbHunterNY's topic in Upper Hudson Valley Branch QDMA
i can't believe it but a small number of tickets are still left. last call for anyone who wants to attend this event. -
i've used the Arizona EZ Fletch with no issues. glue build up hasn't been a problem for me but it'll come off if it does build up. Seems like you'll get one stubborn arrow with any glue. Still I have vanes i can't pull off with pliers on some sets. I typically use a different glue for inserts and vanes. seems i'm changing a lot because if one sits around for too long i toss it and buy another. LC vane master is nice. didn't have it when i first bought EZ Fletch. BSI and Goat tuff always worked well. Some of the Loc-tite glues work good but can be a little thick. Bohning Fletchtite Platinum never seemed to work comparably as well for me. plus the tube seems to crack easily.
