Truck is not for sale Attempting an illustration.

I'm getting ready to maybe sell my Chevy Avalanche. When I do, I will highlight thinks like the great ride, comfort and safety. I won't be putting things like mileage and repair costs in the ad - will discuss them with any interested buyer privately - not deal killers, but not as positive as the comfort Not hiding anything - just doing it all in the proper context.
-
I feel the numerous public discussions about "I wounded one - who else" are far worse then any pic with a tongue out or a little blood. Those things happen (with all weapons), but are far better suited for face to face/campfire discussions. There is nothing positive posting it publically will bring.
-
Why - deer aren't supposed to have tongues? Just one of those things I've never understood.
-
Best video I have seen here - and it's free. Deer Processing#
-
Just be aware that it is illegal to use a dog to track wounded deer without a lisence in NY.
-
Who's looking at the tongue? Doubt the deer cares - why should we?
-
Yep - wrong. Only in certain counties.
-
whitetailfreak - is it possible to make your point on a family site without the foul language? Fact is that we are never sure where the shot hits until recovery. I think by the sounds there is a very good chance the shot was higher then thought and possibly clipped the top of the dpine (much lower then many realize. That would account for the stumbling. Good luck either way.

Way to hard to enforce and does little to address the numerous "why" questions posted here and elsewhere.

Does Palladino have a chance?
SteveB replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Once the market set the prices we would or the companies offering them would close when no one bought. The government should be run as a business in that they should never be allowed to spend more then comes in - its that simple. Palladino built a company that knows how to not lose money. Time to bring some fiscal responsability to the state - even if that means deep cuts across the board. -
To get both bow/mz, you have to buy both a bow and mz licence - if you get jut the bow ( or just the mz) you just get the either/or. If you only got the one, I would use the DMP to keep hunting bucks (or another doe).

I do a home made blend - cost is about $2 gal. It takes gas smells of your hand or in your vehicle. 2 treatments will kill skunk scent on a dog.

Decided to work and take Monday off.

Typing and spelling skills are not requirements to have an opinion. Discussion should be of the issues - don't agree, say why.

Wow! And no AR in Orleans Cty
-
100% on this one. If a yard or 2 means you miss the deer, the bow must be shooting like 90fps - I get more then that from my recurve.
-
My main bow is only 3 years old - DAS recurve.
-
All the deer I've shot in the last 10 years around me appeared to be healthy and fat. In fact I can't recall seeing any deer killed by others or the 100's of live ones seen that seemed sickly in any way.

What time will you be in your stand and are you sitting the whole day?
SteveB replied to burmjohn's topic in Deer Hunting
I leave at sundown - the legal shooting end. Often still plenty of light to shoot. -
Anyone not wearing on is a fool lacking a shred of common sense. But do we need anymore laws attempting to legislate common sense? NO! But anyone not wearing one and falling should be 100% responsible for all costs resulting from their reckless action.

There is an organization that provides FREE free range hunts for veterns here in CNY on private land. A pen is not needed for a disabled vet to hunt - I know a few and most take a great deal of pride in the accomplishment of overcoming their disabilities and would feel it cheapen by using an unneeded crutch. Playing that card is simply trying to defer from the real issues. A pen is not hunting - it is fine to do, but don't call it a hunt unless it is several 1000 acres, deer are not released for shooting, all regular hunting regulations apply, and a licence is needed.
-
From deerforums.com: I support anyone's right to raise livestock and dispatch/sell it anyway they want. I have shopped for/shot a boar at a high fence operation. Just don't confuse it with hunting when no licence is needed and can pick your purchase from a book ahead of time.
-
Is it high fenced - yes or no?
-
Sure - I'd go kill because a genetic freak like that needs to be taken out. But I would not pay a penny to do it or feel it was hunting in any way.
