Just wanted to give you a heads up.....remington and dpms are now the same company...the r-15 is the same gun as a dpms....just as their r-25 is a lighter version of the lr-308.. i agree building one can be cheaper....but right now.....take what you can get....crappy uppers are going for more than what i paid for my complete guns. i actually held the r-15 today with a quad rail...all the previous ones i have seen/held have had the aluminum free float style. and it was a pretty solid feeling gun. I didnt bother asking a price because im sure they are jacked way up right now.
