  1. So I received a ad from gander in the mail last week and saw that that had a savage trophy hunter 111 with scope combo for 400 bucks after a mail in rebate. So I went in to gander yesterday to see if they had any. First off I don't like gander at all but I figured for that price I couldn't go wrong. I want a new 223 so I figured I couldn't beat the deal. Well after standing a the gun counter for 45 minutes trying to locate the gun. (Why can't gander have a better price tag system on their guns) a guy finally comes over. I tell him what I want. He grabs a savage that's 579.00 I tell him that's not right. Well he gets an ad and looks it up and tells me oh you can only get those in 270 and 30-06. Well after that I was pretty fed up. Only 2 more weeks till cabelas opens

  2. Anyone ever deal with them before. I bought a blackout cam about six weeks ago and there is what seems to be some pixels out of place ( I'll post a picture later). Just want to know what to expect when I call. Thanks in advance.

  3. I haven't really this year. My property is long and narrow and the deer cut across it most so I've been trying to find out where they are crossing. Also last weekend I cut up a big tree that was blocking one of the trails that goes down the center of our property. I'm hoping that changes up there patterns some

  4. Move a trail camera? I have 30 acres that my family owns. I'd say about 4 of it is a pine plantation and the rest is hardwoods with a bunch a old logging trails going through. This is my second season with cams and I now have 3. Last I didn't get a ton of picture and I pretty much moved them all every time I checked them. How do you all set up you cameras?

  5. So I'm down at camp today and I was checking my trail cameras as I was at my farthest camera waiting for the images to import on my iPad I heard some rustling on the path Parallel to me. I look and see a doe about 10 yards from me just passing by no idea I'm there. I'm thinking oh cool I'll get a picture of here then about 10 steps behind her comes her fawn. Now I've seen fawns on fields before and in late summer early fall but I've never seen one so tiny. My heart starts racing and I get that adrenaline rush I stand still hoping that I'll get a pic of the fawn. Well momma crosses the path about 30 yards from me and is staring me down. After about 20 seconds stomps her foot a couple of times and lets out 2 of the loudest snorts ever. And takes off down the trail the fawn high tailed it back the way they came.

I think I have the mother and daughter on cam plus a few others. Is it October 1st yet

  6. I use them like elmo does mostly for storage and after I'm done with my hunting trip I like to release my firing pin. I should use them for practice now that you mention it my rifles trigger is way lighter then my shotguns
