I'm looking to pick up a semi auto in the near future. Mostly going to be used for small game hunting and turkey hunting. I'm looking for suggestions on a decent gun but one that won't break the bank. Looking to spend between 700-800 and would only needs it to be between 2 3/4 to 3 in
If anyone has a used one they are trying to get rid of let me know as well.

So I've been debating on getting a set of climbing sticks and a light hang on stand for a while now but had a few questions for those who use them. I was looking at 3 packs and it seems line you don't get very high box says 12.5 feet but I'm sure you can squeeze another foot or two out of them.
Any suggestions on which to get?
And the reason I'm going this route vs a climber is I would leave them on the tree rather then climb down with a climber and then climb up later

What height where the picture of the angles taken at? The higher you get in the tree less of a angle the platform will have

So I was at my camp in Chautauqua county and on the way to the store I saw a property for sale on the way back I stopped and looked at the sign. 8 acres that boarded state forest with a small garage/loft (i assume) for 58,000. Is it just me or is this extremely high?

Will putting tape on my gun ruin my finish? I was thinking of adding some tape to my gun this year to add some break up to it but do want to ruin the finish or have it be stuck on there. I was thinking about using hockey tape. Has any one done this before?

I'm a little confused about youth hunts. My cousin turn 14 this summer so I know he can do the youth gun hunt Columbus Day weekend but can he also hunt during regulars season with a gun? The dec website doesn't really say

Can you legally let someone borrow one of your guns for a hunting season?

The one I'm thinking of was a nylon strapIs this what you're talking about? One of those situations where slow & safe is a better option than fast & convenient. Stay tuned, this is the time of year when there typically is a warning posted by other members regarding treestand safety and some of the horror stories about accidental falls.

Not sure if it was on this forum of a different one but is there anything out there that is a quick strap for a climber? I hate having to loosen my strap when climbing ever 5 feet or so. Any one know of a product like that?
