  1. I went with the 870. Thanks for all the advice ...especially regarding the 887. I'm going to take it out tomorrow for a few rounds. I let you know what I think
  2. What's your opinion on the 887 nitro mag ? Can get it in a 26 or 28 inch barrel. It can take up to 3.5 shell. On sale at dicks for 369. That's 30 bucks less than the 535 combo. I'm going tomorrow so I have to make up my mind !!
  3. I have $400 to buy a shotgun. I have a slug gun ( Ithaca model 37). So this will be a gun for turkey geese and duck. My choices are stoeger over under model 3000 or mossburg model 535 pump with turkey and waterfowl barrel. Vote your choice and why.
  4. Ok thanks. And is September Canadian goose on my 2012-2013 license ? I don't plan on getting my 2013-2014 license until mid sept.
  5. I plan on going goose hunting for the first time this year. A friend of mine tells me you can only shoot a bird in flight. I looked all over the dec website but can find no reg stating that. Has anyone else heard that ?
  6. A friend at work says he heard they are going to open coyote hunting year round. Anyone else heard the same? Any truth to this?
  7. This is my first year hunting. Ive gone a few times but haven't heard anything but geese. What type of place am I supposed to be set up in? Should I be near water? Fields? Etc? I live in broome county so Whitney point is where ive been going. Any advice would be great.
