  1. With the erosion of society and socialism taking hold as it is, I'm not very optimistic. Taxes and prices keep going up while pay goes down so owning land is out. Everything needs to be fair and even so I doubt archery season will exist because xguns and ML's will be added. This "watering down" will push new hunters out and turn off the regulars. To deal with the national deficit the Democrats will confiscate IRA's and 401K's to distribute the money evenly. Most won't be able to afford the sport of hunting. A box of deer slugs will cost $100....If we still have our guns in 50 years. Sorry to be so negative but folks need to wake the F up.

To deal with the deer herds the government will just have bait and shoots to keep the numbers in check.

  2. Good info Phade- exactly what I've been saying all along. The only able-bodied hunters in NY that want crossbows for archery season in NY are the gun hunters that don't want earn the right to bowhunt by putting in the time.

BINGO! The main push is gun hunters looking to use their xguns during archery season. Otherwise we wouldn't be seeing a push for full inclusion.

If the xgun arguments had any merit they would be pushing inclusion during archery season JUST for the elderly who can no longer bow hunt and the disabled. (note:I said elderly who can no longer bowhunt. not the elderly who never had an archery license and just want to take advantage).

  3. Answer me this. Why has the sheriff's department spoken out against what Cuomo has done and the state police have not? I don't believe one group of cops feels that much different than the other. It's because the state police work for Cuomo and they are choosing violating our rights over protecting the people. I don't expect them to quit, just have a set of balls and speak their mind. He can't fire all state police if they stick together.

  4. What I am saying, and have repeated no less than 4 times is that it is not an officer's duty (or even ability) to establish the constitutionality of the laws he is enforcing. For the jillionth time, that is the pervue of the court system ...... Now, did you understand that this time? I think that is clear enough, but if not, read it again.

So if the state police get the order from a corrupt government to go door to door and confiscate weapons in violation of the 2A you believe it is their duty to do so? I believe they have the duty to protect us against such action. No one elected Cuomo knowing he would be this radical. So when the gov goes off the deep end I expect the state police to take a position like the sheriff's department has done. Not just oppress the people because they are paid to do so.

I heard the argument that automatic weapons were banned and we are ok with that, so how could banning other dangerous weapons be a violation of 2A? Once we let them ban things like semi auto rifles they will move on to pistols and then the 1st Amendment will be attacked because we stood by for the 2A to be erased so what's the difference. They are trying to do away with the constitution and the bill of rights and people like the state police have a duty so protect us.

  5. I saw a video of cops after Katrina going door to door confiscating weapons and kicking in doors to do so. At what point do cops have a duty to stand up to tyrant politicians and say "NO" I won't do that to my fellow american ? Cuomo or Oboma might give the order to search your house some day soon. If you say cops are mindless and need to follow orders I say you are wrong.

  6. Very simple, the state police are controlled by the democrats and work for Coumo. The state police will tow the company line and violate our 2A rights if instructed to do so by Cuomo. Cowardly for the leaders within the state police not to speak up but I guess that is self preservation. Here in Rochester the city police chief stood up and endorsed 100% of this bill because he is controlled by the Dems. The sheriff does not work for Cuomo and is able to speak their mind freely.

The solution? at the next election vote Republican....

  7. Just a thought but what if you register your dad's gun in your name? He can still keep his gun but in the even of his passing it's in your name so you keep it. Let the younger folks register the guns to keep them in the family longer. probably bending the rules a bit but who cares, the law is in violation of 2A anyway. or is it like a pistol where only the registered user can have it. in that case might not be worth the risk unless it is just being shot on your land where a cop won't be to check papers.

  8. I'm sure the two criminals breaking into my house both only loaded their illegal pistols with seven bullets. Yeah right. Now I've gotta fight two guys that have 20 rounds with only 7 shots. Or I just ignore the law and be safe. Thanks Democrats. Even if i leave the state I gotta deal with Obama. Real depressing. And yet my kids are still unguarded at school.

  9. They say they only want to ban AR15 style guns. B.S. Next will be our hand guns. Then shot guns. Why else would Cuomo be trying to reduce a magazine designed to hold 17 rounds down to 7 rounds? Why are hand gun magazines even being discussed if the outrage are the semi auto rifles? Reducing my ability to defend myself with only 7 rounds will not stop gun violence. A crazy person who wants to go into a school because he knows we leave them unprotected will just bring multiple magazines or multiple guns. Wake Up people!!!

  10. We have computer data bases don't we? Sorry if it's discrimination but folks with mental illness should be registered in a data base. cross reference with registered fire arms. if you are registered with mental illness you have to give up what ever weapons you already own. Like sex offenders can't live in a house offering day care. Folks with mental illness can't live in a house with firearms or own them themselves.

  11. Any farmers out there? Why is there still so much standing corn in 8H? Gun season is upon us and they love to hide in the corn when pressured. My guess is the crop is so bad this year due to lack of rain the corn is almost not worth the gas to retrieve.

  12. I've also see several mature bucks "locked" on does. The does are not ready to breed yet so they are moving so where the doe goes so does the buck. Just hope the doe drags the big boy past your stand so you get a shot. This morning I had a hot doe bed down in front of me with the buck circling trying to fend off smaller bucks. Never came into bow range however. good show though.

  13. I shoot the Rage 2blade but I'm not familiar with the orange shock collar. I have black "O" rings holding the blades in place in the retracted position. The blades push past the "o" ring upon impact and become deployed. What do the shock collars look like and are they different from the "o" rings?
