HectorBuck, We used to hunt a farm east and north of Watkins Glen, it wasn't South Dakota but it was worth the trip from NJ.Is that sporting goods store still there at Catherine Creek?Thanks!

It's been a while since we hunted for wild pheasant in NY,but there used to be a decent population of wild birds around Seneca Lake.Do any of you guys hunt for wild birds?What County would you say is the best now for wild birds?

My brother and I used to be stand building fools!But now I think I will just buy a Ladder stand,but there is something missing in the store bought ones!

It is all about habitat!Pa.is having some great success bringing WILD birds back to Pa.! They are using Wild trapped birds from Montana and South Dakota!But the habitat has to be there first! NY.is lucky in that there are still some wild birds here,but again it's the habitat and most importantly NESTING cover that is lacking!Releasing birds can be a lot of fun,and great for training,but pen raised birds just won't raise young in the wild,if that is your goal!
