    Buck FINALLY crusing the trails at pa camp. Everything is 10-12 days behind schedule it seems.

    Almost ran over a 120" 8 pt on my way home trying to cross the road by my house. Heading right toward my stand at 5:30. out of work at 3 the next two days gonna take my son back there with the crossbow and sit on the ground somewhere for the last 1-2 hours.

    We didn’t see anything this am, lookin like heavy rain this evening

    My son really wants to bring the buck decoy tomorrow, so I’ll be pulling the tarsal glands from my buck out of the freezer and hauling it out there.

    Lone doe is all we saw in stand, tons of doe by houses not a buck in sight

    Tapped out for the am, was colder than expected with the north wind. Going back out around 2 probably.

    Heading out in the am with my dad, and son if he feels good enough to go. If not I’ll sit where I have a direct line of the whole field and watch. I have a doe tag but am not interested in filling it. If my son comes we will be in the blind with the decoy and tarsal glands of one of my bucks. Made 30 lbs of Pasquale’s sweet sausage today also.

    A friend just send me pictures of a 120” guarding a bedded doe in a field, two other bucks circling them. I’d say you’re right. This weekend they should be lookin for that second doe.

    Some could be, but my spots I think just a few doe are hot right now.

    I hadn’t seen a “shooter” till Nov 1, last two hunts first bucks were the shooters. Just luck sometimes, all 4 deer I got with bow died within 30 yards and watched them fall. That will never happen again. I’m tapping out till gun, with the exception of taking my son. gonna save my dmp and pa doe tags. Probably transfer them to my kid or dad for the dmp.

    Gonna hunt one of my favorite spots in PA tomorrow morning. Cruising spot with a scrape that gets pounded this week every year, right at bottom of a hill that sits behind the town. After the rain today and cold front it should be a crazy good sit.

    Buddy had two bucks chasing a doe in circles at 10 am here in 7s. to thick for a shot. Ill be in PA Thursday and Friday, I did not realize 12 year old's can crossbow hunt now in NY so I'm buying my son a tag now for sat. I'm gonna make him be patient for a nice one cause were set on meat, I gave my whole buck away to a few families. Have a family lined up for the next deer as well. Very fortunate to have many properties to hunt.

    Tried to Put my dad in the same stand I took my buck for evening hunt yesterday , he decided to sit in the double gun ladder stand 60 yards away, guess what happened, big 6 point with no brows walked right behind him at 10 yards and by the other stand, theirs no shooting lane behind the ladder. Proceeded to walk across the field and destroy a scrape.

    Buck followed that does trail from this am at 0815, decided to take him. Got me excited and that’s all I needed. 15 yard shot went 30 and fell over. Onto PA.

    630 lone for came through at 15 yards, 730 doe and nursing fawn across field

    Good sit tonight with my dad, seen 4 buck and 4 doe, of course the only one he was about to get a shot at was grunting and chasing a doe. None of the others cared about the doe.

    Have not seen a tail which is unheard of for this spot, gonna give it an hour then relocate in nothing

    Heading out to 7p in a bit, haven’t been there since youth but usually see a ton of doe funnel past my stand and have a perfect wind. Just need one to follow!

    Saw two more bucks, nothin close or big, then saw a spike chasin two doe from the cabin. Tomorrow is gonna be a great day. Taking the evening off for a party
