    Warm days i'm only shooting one of my shooter bucks. if i'm gonna sweat my ass off dragging its going to be for a damn good reason. i can shoot does any day of the week in my one spot, literally can drive up to them, get out and they don't run.

    Climber, hang and hunt, hangons, I bring my hang and hunt xop and put it above the ladder stands cause I hate bow hunting out of a ladder.

    I will be using Hornaday black (6.5 grendel 123 grain) on deer this year, multiple forums and gelatin test show very similar to sst.

    5 shots 45 yards, one Flier. Coincidentally the “shot of the day” was the best shot as it was my first.

    Rough up the ground in a spot with a good licking branch, pee in it. They work for cams, although rarely kill deer over them.

    Nice, I built a 6.5 Grendel AR for deer this year for $300 (plus optics and sling). Tac driver!

    I’d highly suggest an elite solid limb bow if you want let off. I’m a 27” draw( would be 26.5 in hoyt or Matthews) 65 lbs. I shoot an e 32. The solid limbs can be had $300-$400 New now.

    Years ago when I was new to bow hunting I had a spike doing that, literally jumping around in the woods like an idiot. I killed him.

    I found 3 open scrapes on 3 diff properties and 1 rub today checking cams! most all bucks have hard antlers except a few now.

    New stand arrived today xop vanish evolution. I can not believe what I have been missing using my cheap stands. This will serve mainly to turn my sets into doubles when my kid wants to come but also have a set of muddy pro sticks on the way. i set it up a few times in the back yard and it’s simple and rock solid! Anyone have experience with the xop or muddy sticks?

    But I do buy bait and mineral for PA land. Deer love trophy rocks in summer, molasses or buck jam poured over it on a tree stump. Then just horse sweet feed, not in a pile though.

    Just spray your boots with a vanilla extract in front of your stand, you know for cover scent and all.
