  1. Well I saw him this am but no shot, no service in the stand. The smaller buck here already dropped its antlers.
  2. Going out tommorow, gonna wait till it’s light since I’ve never been on this property. This was 2 days ago. (In PA)
  3. Both are good guns accuracy wise, but the stocks are cheap as hell and flex a lot. I love my browning ab3, it’s got a wood stock and was sub $500. Stacked 3 .243 rounds .43 inches at 100.
  4. I think reporting % is up. I know people that never reported a deer before that started this year.
  5. Dry shod artic boots, multifuel stove, cabelas card.
  6. I only shot one deer with a .243 ttsx. It went right through him and dropped him. Very minimal damage though. I’d use them again but only if I had too, I prefer other choices in .243.
  7. Tagged out in ny, even with transferred dmps. Doe in PA, buck tag yet to fill after Xmas. Record year for sightings and deer taken, happy to share with friends. I passed a ton of decent bucks on my main property and shot smaller ones on 10 and 5 acre lots.
  8. I honestly can’t believe they are letting me in the first place lol. In response to upstateredneck.
  9. Apparently my season is not over, still have a pa buck tag. A friends parents is selling there property and are allowing me to bow hunt it for the late season. There is two 10 points and an 8 in there yard everyday. Hasn’t been hunted in 40 years!
  10. My wife has surgery in oct, a 3 hour surgery took 6 hours I was freaking out. Hopefully something easy to fix now instead of later, good luck!
  11. Had no shot at the 10 point. He was 60 yards out, I wound up shooting that half rack on the property. I did however pass up a mess of 2.5 year old 6 and 8 points and took the 5 with no brows. That property tends to get a lot of deer with no brow tines so I decided to take him.
  12. Buddy recovered my bullet fron the doe I gave him. I am happy with the performance of these Winchester silver tips, I don’t have a scale but the bullet is still pretty hefty for a 95 grainer.
  13. Yes this is true it’s an either sex tag in late season. I’m out of tags
  14. Idk why I’m slacking this yea on uploading my photos, probably because I’ve been so busy. Anyways I got this one the last week of bow literally behind my house. I knew this deer, he has a messed up pedicle and was a messed up spike/unicorn last year. Had trail cam pics of him this year and he had a tiny antler on that side he broke off. My little one got to help dress and drag for the first time (all 500 feet).
  15. No, our gun season is already way too long. Needs to be 2 weeks instead of 3.
  16. Neighboring county, last day of season. https://wbng.com/news/local-news/2018/12/10/dec-shooter-jailed-after-hunter-dies-in-tioga-county-incident/
  17. Shot a doe this morning, apparently I didn’t post my buck from the other day. 2:5 year old 5 pt with no brows. I am tagged out in ny and happy to be able to share meat with my friends.
  18. And people can say what they want about .243. I’ve now shot 4 deer from 30-180 yards with it. 3/4 dropped, the 4th took a 5 second 30 yard run. All passthroughs and all good holes with Winchester silvertip 95 grains. Plus I can shoot it left handed lol.
  19. Nice easy drag, was a younger doe but a good family I know was unable to get anything this year. Dropped her off at their house and ready to enjoy some heart fried up.
  20. I’d say that’s pretty acurate as fas as bones out meat goes. A 100lb dressed doe gets me roughly 40lbs of boneless fattless meat when I butcher.
  21. Shot a doe today in PA. Donated to a family that can use the meat. 5 people got 3 doe, a 8pt and a coyote. 180 yard shot .243 bang...flop... dead. Longest I’ve shot, before that was 80 yards. Also shot it in my pajamas from the cabin.
