    I finally got my first sit in yesterday afternoon. Had about one dozen squirrels chasing each other . Absolutely no wind and 50 degrees. It was about 530 and I hear a deer blow 3 times. Now I know it didn’t wind me and I haven’t moved in forever what gives. About 5 minutes later her comes a porcupine waddling from that direction. Probably the biggest I’ve ever seen. That’s the only conclusion I can come up with. Came home this morning because it was raining pretty good.

    The bullshit crossbow law states we cant use them until the last 2 weeks of archery season. So I’ll take it as it’s bow season and a crossbow is a bow so the orange rule need not apply. Orange is for firearms season and a crossbow is not a firearm!

    In the unit I hunt in Colorado the moose are pushing the elk out of the area. Bullwinkle is a bully!

    Lots of deer this morning along the side of 90 between buffalo and Rochester this morning. Hoping today is the day @turkeyfeathersputs me on the board!

    Colorado also has some big whitetail. In Colorado whitetails seem to be pushing the mule deer right out. Talking to a couple ranchers out there they say see a whitetail shoot it. They are cross breading with mule deer. One guy in our camp shot a doe that was half and half. Mule deer ears with a whitetail and the the prettiest coat of ever seen.
