Anyone in the buffalo area or if willing to travel a bit ecc has a bunch of openings for vaccinations this weekend.

I had my first shot yesterday at an urgent care in Utica. They offered the whole site shots and hardly anyone took advantage. My arm is pretty damn sore and I feel groggy!

Stopped over at my aunt and uncles tonight. They had about 30 birds in the yard. Group of 5 Tom’s came out and chased the jakes all over the place. Pretty cool watching.

As a family we used to go to the eastern every year. We had a very large group that would meet and camp for a week every year. We had people from Long Island, Ohio, Maine and west by god Virginia. I do miss those days of going and am looking forward to going this year even if it’s just for visitors day as it’s only an hour from Buffalo in Gennessee county!

Welcome. You will find a lot of land down in southern tier catt county( east Otto franklinville zoar valley). Up north Niagara co has some nice spots as well. Pendleton off of bear ridge has some public usually crowded around the first week of deer season though. Alabama swamps has good amount of land but have heard some crazy stories about run ins with some of the natives up there though! Good luck!

Have you ever watched roger raglan? He does most of his hunting from the ground! Maybe you can pick up a tip or two from watching him.

I hear you on the salt water fishing. It totally ruined fresh water fishing for me!

I have my own land also. I will probably hunt it hard during bow and after the gun opener. After the gun opener seeing a deer around my area is very bleak. From my understanding is she would do rounds around the land to make sure nobody hunted it. She was a tough woman! Here’s to hoping I guess!

Any member ever hunt down in Kennedy Chautauqua county? My buddies mom recently passed and left him the house and 140 acres. My buddy does not hunt and said go ahead and hunt just share the meat. The land has never been hunted in the 43 years my buddy has been alive. What I’m basically asking is good deer numbers? Only thing he says lots of bears!

Is this a farm deer? If you do kill a farm deer will it count in being counted in the record book?

Go later in the bow season because early is still pretty warm and have the elk high in elevation. It’s a totally different type of hunting. Your not sitting in a stand you are putting miles on those boots. I recommend wearing light weight waterproof hikers. Area 25-26 just outside of eagle Colorado has lots of BLM and state land. You can pick up a map that shows the land boundaries. Get good at reading a compass as well because land isn’t marked liked it is hear and it’s your responsibility to know where you are at all times. If you go to 25-26 I recommend king mountain plenty of elk . It will take you a day to hike in though. Good luck with your adventure!

With the amount of precipitation our area gets I’m thinking you would need a sump pump. But I have thought about doing this but the water issue has kept me from doing it.
