After the loss of my swiss hound, I kind of layed low for a while but I decided to go out 1 last time for the season and I Finally made it up to Maine for a Hare Hunt with Joe from Double D kennels, we had a Great Trip. Day 1- We woke up to 3" to 4" of fresh snow, and snowed pretty much all day, we ran a total of 6 or 7 Hare , and harvested 2. We both had chances to shoot at the others but were either out of position or just didnt see the hare. Dogs ran pretty well all day long. Here is the Video Link for Day 1- Day 2- We woke up to sunny skies and 0 Degree weather, which warmed up to mid 20s. The morning running was a little rough on the first hare, but the dogs pulled it together on the second, as they ran him for 2 hours, and at times over 800 yards away!! The next Hare they chased will forever live in my memories, they ran from 1130 am to close to 4pm, he crossed trails,roads,swamps,opening, thickets and never in the same spot!!! When it was all said and done, I took 20 shots at him and Joe took 3!!!! He is the Hare in Picture Above, at the end of the video,there is a pic of my garmin screen, just look at the run!!!! geno, have not been out much,couple weeks ago was training my dogs and my swiss hound was hit by a car and killed, so been kind of down. How have you been? Do you work on saturdays?

Guys, I hate to be the one to say this, but most rabbit hunters will never give up their spots with fear of getting shot out. I usually hunt long island and belong to gun club in orange county, as far as hare , I hunt the adirondacks, but the best bet is to hire a guide up there that would show you spots. Had a Solo Hunt, Wind,wind and more wind. Ended up running 4, got 2 missed 1 and the other was too close to shoot and went to a hole, dogs also ran 2 pheasants, which I did not shoot at. Dogs did ok, really like my new pup Bellmores Ticked Off Sara, she actually got a check on bella and Pupe in cornfield, hard to hear over all the geese, watch the video. www.bellmorekennels.com

Karp, yes that was me, I am teaching sara, she is 14 weeks old, that was the first time I shot over her, I have been working on the retreive with her, she almost did it, think rabbit was too heavy for her,lol.. My friends dog is having pups tonight she is a femaIe I sold him and my male is the sire, so if she really wants one.............. I wil post pics once they are born!!

I joined for 2 seasons, I understand the issue with alot hunters and not enough land. I am really not a big deer hunter , I hunt 95% rabbit. I really liked the properties upstate, and the one on hubbard was nice too,I really never seen any drinking going on, but was really tough setting up a hunt either due to other hunters hunting before me or myself not having the time when there were openings. The calling first was kind of tough, but those were the rules, which I agreed to before joining,live and learn I guess Truth be told, I actually liked Bob,and still do.It is his business and that is how he wants to run it. Wish was not so much money to join, as I think if was less expensive people would not have high expectations. Anyway, i belong to 3 other clubs,which do not require phone calls first, and there are plenty state lands, if you do your homework, life goes on.

geno would love to bring my new little pup Sara over, she is only 3 months old and is already hunting, she needs the experience!!

Thanks karp and geno, she had pneumonia and had bacteria in her blood, she home now,still on iv antibiotics, for another 2 weeks. She also does not speak english ,so I am her translator, LOL. Yes geno on the humidity, get a humidity guage, looks like a thermometer, and should be bet 30% and 40%, I have 2 humidifiers for house and one in kids bedroom. Also lets try to get together maybe end of next week one eve with karp at an applebees or something, maybe on route 110 or something

Sorry have not responded guys ,have had hectic few weeks,as my mom was in hospital since before new year and I had a terrible sinus infection. Once in a while I do welcome guests, BUT, have to warn you , am really serious about safety around the dogs, no insult intended. I actually hope to set something up with 2 other board members soon. I use 20ga,28ga, and 410, I went out yesterday and will upload video soon anthony
