    Big boy I saw seemed spooked: He was jogging, stopping, checking behind him for a second, then continuing. Ignored the scent and the grunt i threw at him.

    Did a drag line on the way in, scent bottles are out, got an inch of tracking snow and the wind is in the right direction. All I need is a deer.

    Not a good season so far. Pretty garbage weather, usually have a fat old doe in the freezer by now. On my out of my deep stand yesterday I checked the logging roads on the side of the hill. Nothing. No scrapes or rubs. Weird. Its usually a huge travel route. Have seen some scrapes and seen a couple medium sized bucks. Haven't gotten one mess-my-pants buck on camera yet.

    Neighbor said I could sit in one of hisbstands, down in the valley. Within 5 minutes an 8 goes through some brush at 40 yards. Lack of shooting lanes for the lose. Rained like hell and blew all afternoon. Probably the most uncomfortable conditions I've sat in. But at least I saw some horn!
