  1. I've had a downhill breeze all morning which is exactly against the wind. Kinda screwing with my setup.
  2. I'm as far from civilization as I can get down here. 600 feet down. Been 9 months since ACL surgery and man my legs were shaking walking down that hill. No pain, just muscle fatigue. Gonna be sweaty climbing out at noon. Leaves are super loud this morning. Got a fresh scrape above and below me.
  3. Dead calm in the valley, windy up at 2000 feet. Glad I'm headed down the side of the hill.
  4. I'll be out in the morning, going to a deep woods stand I haven't touched yet this year. Should be cooler down there.
  5. Followup question: How do you guys load your tubes with the bh209? Should I have a small funnel or something? Or scoop some out?
  6. #5 allen wrench fit it perfectly, solved. And yeah that's where I was going with it next.
  7. OK, I have a slight issue : ON my new CVA I need to get the blackhorn breech plug seated fully, and it came with a wrench. Problem: The frickin scope is in the way of using the wrench to crank it down. Before I tried to McGuyver it, wanted to put it out there for one of you MZ old hands to educate me. Watched a video, I know as soon as I have it seated down properly it should hand tighten, but it's not yet. I cranked it as hard as I could by hand and the hammer will not draw back to the locked position.
  8. Yeah, but, they ran the ball last week for the first time this season. Mitch Morse just cleared concussion protocol, John Brown just practiced fully and Dawson Knox is back. That O-line is finally getting healthy again, receivers are healthy, and running game is coming alive so we'll see. Allen needs to learn to throw when the conditions aren't great, but this Sunday looks like perfect football weather. Is Cody Ford back yet?
  9. Too many eggs in one basket. Worried about Seattle's defense getting hot this weekend though!
  10. Not when 200 of those yards and 1 of those touchdowns go to my receiver!
  11. Any recommendations on a 100 to 200$ scope for that Triumph? I get the feeling my dad doesn't see so good anymore, though he won't admit it. He'll need a scope to make it a workable firearm for him.
  12. Seems like the smaller bucks are on their feet, big boys should get going in a few days. So hard to stay patient right now. Might have one last crack at bow late this week. That 2 year old last night was nose to the ground. But he's been moving in daylight for a couple weeks.
  13. I think mixon comes back from their bye healthy, and I need a good RB for the playoffs. Fair trade but I think I need him more
  14. Thinking about it, Tacks, but my RB situation isn't great.
  15. Pulled the camera that was on the up-for-lease property, wasn't much there. About 50 pics over 35 days. If it's still available on base camp when the property "goes public", might be looking for someone to go halfsies with. Some years its crazy, this year the property I own, especially now that I'm plotting is much more deer-dense. EXCEPT that last slob, I think that was around 10/25, camera reset its time. I think I found the scrapes he's working on the side of the hill, which is my property.
  16. That was right next to the farm house man! Lots of tracks, and I saw a buck cruising, was a good sit.
  17. Just had a basket 8 cruise through, wasn't interested in the bleat can. He was at 60 ish. Headed towards the bedding area.
  18. Can we get @grampy title changed to "The Sage on the Mountain" please, @fasteddie ?
