We got ours back about 630 yesterday. Longer than the hurricane outage. Except we didn't have an 8 year old and a 4 year old then. 3 days felt like an eternity. Starting to really stress out last night, had just left to get Sonic, stopped by the guys working the lines and they said it had just come back on. Borrowed my dad's generator so I didn't lose my freezer full of sausage and leftover venison from last year. This episode has me seriously considering a Tesla Powerwall 2 to go with our solar. Probably wouldn't help much in the winter. Plus I'm saving my pennies to fix the road and build a nice cabin on the property. But man, is it tempting.

Good luck to everybody out, I'll be joining you this afternoon. 74 hours without power, I'll be cleaning crap up this morning.

Chained home, still no power 71 hours later. Kids are getting crazy and I'm getting pretty damn grumpy. Gotta keep that generator fed.

I'm out, sitting in the new stand for grins. Too late in the day to make it to my usual high wind stand, not too bad here. Kinda glad it's only a 90 minute sit, a little under dressed.

Man my ass is dragging. Got new stand put together and in a tree, dropped the kids off at my parents, brought my dad's generator here and saved my venison stockpile, can I find the energy to get out for a smelly evening sit? If I stay in this couch I'll just pass out and be awake all night again.

I was hoping to get out this afternoon but this massive power outage has pretty much killed that plan. Haven't showered in 2 days , bet the deer will like that!

I bought a little KUIU backpack, the down pants and jacket folded up fit right in it perfect. Clips right to my stand bag. They weigh 2 lbs total. That Gale force stuff would be the perfect outer layer in extreme cold......
