  1. At the risk of being unpopular, I agree. I switched to copper a few years back after I watched a documentary on what lead bullets are doing to eagle populations in the Mississippi River valley. At least for deer season.
  2. I had a pair on the coyote carcass I shot opening day of gun. Not the first time I've seen it, but it seems to be becoming a more frequent thing!
  3. Who does that even work on anyway?......... Has anyone seen Pygmy in the last hour? Or did he hop a jet to Russia?
  4. I read about this a few months ago. It's also a reason why Elk are doing well in moose country. I guess the Elk groom themselves very well and it helps keep their tick infestation down?
  5. 5 weeks today. PT says 5 to 8 weeks is when most people who re-tear the ACL do it. So. Gotta be good til the end of March. Full range of motion for weeks, so it's hard to not do other stuff. Worst part is the stupid full leg brace when I go out. But ACL is at its weakest right now, so no being a dumbass.
  6. Initial thoughts: Seems like really good quality, nevermind the fact that I paid 150 for both. Size is good for having a crapload of under layers if you want. Also pretty warm. I can see sitting in wait for some dogs in this outfit. So, solid heads up, thanks Moog!
  7. Haven't heard any RWBB's yet, but there's vultures back in the Hudson valley. Wouldn't be surprised to hear the RWBB'S again soon, house is near a bunch of swamps. Geese were pairing up and honking yesterday though!
  8. I'm switching to fixed blades this year. @THP guys convinced me. Some of the shots they made with fixed that just destroyed big bucks I could not do with my mechanicals. Going to restring her, and retune for fixed.
  9. I know the post is a rag, but this is a little disturbing : https://nypost.com/2020/02/22/dont-buy-chinas-story-the-coronavirus-may-have-leaked-from-a-lab/
  10. I can't stop watching this show. Even my wife is enjoying it. I'm explaining stuff to her as we watch it and she's gaining insight as to why we do what we do.
  11. Incredible job. Thank you for sharing!
  12. Yeah just the "imaginary bar" for now. Also using the machine. Not really anymore pain unless I try and bend it a certain amount. I don't think much is going to change at PT for a while, dude says it's a long slow grind from here on out. Not going to get back to squatting 405 again any time soon thats for sure. I'll settle for........ being able to go out for a walk in the woods.
  13. Well I've been looking for some decent but barganomic snow camo for a while. Did you get the hood too?
  14. Dude. You're an enabler! Yes I just bought these.
  15. In that little blurb from American Hunter they're claiming 6 to 9 feet less drop than a creedmore at 1000 yards. Out of a 16 inch barrel! I went down the rabbit hole with this yesterday. Only question left to me is :. How much is that Sig Scope going to run? There's a good video of an interview at the 2020 shot show :
  16. Available to the public in June. Man! I should let it go a year and see what people think. Instead maybe this years toy is the Traditions NitroFire and Federal FireStick?
  17. Call and threaten to quit, get back to the introductory rate. I have to do it every year, but it's 50$ a month. Hate DirecTV, but no other option here in the boonies. Supposedly they're stringing fiber here in the next couple years. When that happens I'm dropping those bastards like a 5am trip to the outhouse after 3 cups of coffee.
  18. Here we are, just short of 4 weeks out. Started doing squats, hoping the PT lets me back on the elliptical soon.
  19. Sweet stuff! I hope Albany is in the same ballpark! Hope Grampy is there too, would make the time fly. Just the couple hours we spent BS'ing was great. He's the kind of guy you want at a campfire, I could tell I only scratched the surface on his hunting stories.
  20. Just started watching this series, enjoying it! Way better than that crap on Pursuit and Sportsman.
  21. Read a little more about this today, I guess Sig has to make a million rounds for the government before the end of the year, so they're having ramp up issues. Price tag on that rifle is In a weird place. 1700 for a hunting rifle...... Says they guy bought one of sigs other products for ballpark same price.
  22. I would need to change my jorts if I saw that in the woods. Especially at ground level. That's pushing grizzly size? Grizzly bears weigh upward of 700 pounds (315 kilograms). The males are heavier than the females and can weigh up to 1,700 pounds (770 kilograms) thanks Google
