If they had complaints, they would express them to their parents. They get off the bus and jump in the car and i have to tell them to take the mask off. They don't even seem to notice that it's there. I really do believe that parents are creating this issue for the most part. Sure, there are probably some kids with special needs or learning issues for whom it is a real issue. But, i really doubt it is a problem for the majority. I think that parents who see masks in schools as a political issue are teaching their kids that the masks are a problem as opposed to the kids telling the parents that the masks are causing problems for them in school.

Seems to me that the complaints about kids wearing masks are coming from the parents and not the kids. Between my kids and their four cousins- all elementary/middle school ages- we never heard a single complaint from them about the masks. Kids adapt to anything. It's the parents who are making it an issue.

Port Jeff is five minutes from me. You could check out Cedar Beach. There's a fishing pier at Cedar Beach park where Mt. Sinai harbor meets the Sound. People fish there on the beach when blues and stripers are in. I honestly don't know if there's anything happening right now. People also fish the back of Mt. Sinai harbor where the boats are moored- when the tides are right and the stripers are around, they chase baitfish back into the harbors. You could also check Celtic Quest- they run charters and party boats out of Port Jeff.

Agree. I don't see this changing too much for bow season. Even with light-up pins, still not easy to see the target at dusk.

I just wonder if shots made just before dark will make it harder to track a deer. i think the 30 minutes before sunrise is fine. Not so sure about 30 minutes after sunset.

That’s the number that’s being reported in our meetings at work. I’d assume they’re coming from reliable sources. But again, I don’t see the point of debating Delta numbers. Unvaccinated folks are making up the overwhelming majority of serious cases, regardless of which strain.

I've never dismissed it. I've acknowledged it and agreed that it's a serious issue many times. Again, not protecting yourself in protest is just plain dumb. No other way to put it.

Jeremy, beyond this last reply, i'm not gonna waste any more time helping you promote your nonsense. Nobody is saying that Delta is the only strain. But, it's responsible for around 97% of current cases. And the overwhelming majority of the sickest cases are of those who are unvaccinated. Yes, vaccinated folks can still get the virus. But, their symptoms are overwhelmingly less severe and almost none have been hospitalized. And Delta wouldn't even exist if enough people had gotten vaccinated and herd immunity were achieved months ago. You constantly distract and deflect. Probably because you know that your reasoning is nonsense and you just relish being a contrarian. When you or someone you actually care about gets sick, you'll probably change your position. Then again, maybe you won't.
