You guys getting way into it!! I buy arrows and not the $100 per 6 ones, more like the $60 for a dozen ones, take em home and shoot them. If any consistently don't fly good they get excommunicated. The rest all hit a 2 inch bull out to 40 and go kill deer.

I did one Sunday put up alone. I put the steps along a second tree ao I have the support bar locked in then go up another few feet and ratchet off the the second tree. Then I climb up and ratchet the top. Only way I'll do it alone. Unless I am using these. https://x-stand.com/product/the-duke/ it has a lock jaw system. Unfortunately I only have one of these out of my 7 ladders.....

I gotta agree in most of my spots wind is well down the list. I hunt a bunch of suburban places and the deer are a lot more tolerant than if I was in the Adirondacks. Don't get me wrong I practice very good scent control but the deer where I hunt also don't always travel into the wind. If they did they would all be gone to the west!

The Tower is 99.5% done. Gas line ran, all walled in, windows, AstroTurf. Hiked back onto the island yesterday a mile in and got a ladder stand set up. The island is planted in corn and beans so deer should be fat! I have to clear trails in a few spots but otherwise I’m ready to go! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Spent the first half day fiddling with deer stands. Saw how dang great and overcast it was and said I should be fishing! 3 hours later on a north pond in the kayak. 2.5 hours fishing and boated 13, 10 keeper bass. Caught a dandy 19” on a frog that got put back. Then caught a pig 21.5” 6+ pounder that got put back as well. Good day! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
