11/9 am 44 Hit out back again with my brother, I put him in the far Stone stand and I sat in the Duke. He had no action. I had a button work by me at 20 yards first then a bit later a unicorn spike that wandered around me for over 15 minutes. He went past then circled back and stood 15 feet in front of me. He was following some scent. I had notices a mucked up area by the creek 30 yards in front of me and he was interested in it too. When I got down I went over to investigate and it was all torn up by a buck fight. I could see where the imprint of the side of one body had fell over in the mud at one point. It had to be from last night as it was not there yesterday.

Awesome!! Tell pops Congratz!! Also there are a lot of ticks on that deer. Don't put him in the back seat of your BMW!!

Well now your just showing off hauling a 280 pound deer on your back!! Nice buck, glad you found him!!

Way to go on the bucks!! My brother lost the trail on a doe a few years back behind the house. I went out first thing in the am and found it but yotes had got to the ass end. I took the straps and fronts with no issue. As long as the skin is not punctured or anything the meat under would be fine.

Be interesting to know where the shot was. If through and through guts you gotta wait. If it got chest and went in or out gut maybe you go sooner…they left you all the good meat lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have pushed during bow. If done right it’s just like a good gun drive. We do not push loud and to make them run but to bump them to slowly hit escape routes. Often stopping to look and listen. And no we would never shoot an arrow or bolt at a moving deer. We usually just do this with one of us on a slow bump and one or two in stand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The buck I shot in 7A last week was loaded with ticks and I mean loaded.

I'm stuck working but the boy went out back and in the Duke. Had a 4 point go by after 10 minutes but too quick for a good shot. Hoping he gets a good shot on one!

11/8 am 38 I put my brother in the Stone stand from last night and I set up in the Bowl stand about 300 yards from him. Hoping the hot doe was still around with suitors but no such luck. We did bump deer just off the lawn coming in and another just off to the right. None blew or took off too hard. Sat 2 hours and had to split to work.

11/7 pm Out in the Stone stand out back for 2 hours. My son was out for his first sit in the tower. About 15 minutes before too dark to shoot I had a nice buck looked like a real good 7-8 point chase a doe by on my left about 100 yards out. He chased her up and around for a couple minutes and I was hoping they would go by the tower but no luck.

11/7 am 28 First friggin frost! I had one go right through a lane at first legal but still to dim to shoot or even properly identify. I thought it might be a button. Couple minutes later a second came through a fawn so figure the first was a small doe. Sat for the next 4 hours and nothing but squirrels.

32 degrees been in since before 6. Had one walk by through shooting lane right at legal but too dim for me to tell what it was or shoot. Then a smaller one went through 5 minutes later so I’m guessing the small doe and fawn. Squirrels are going crazy shaking hickory nuts out the trees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
