10/6 pm 61 Out back in the far stand for 2.5 hours. Absolutely nothing. Man it was quiet out!! On the way out I jumped one eating apples in front of one of my brothers stands. Then jumped another in front of the tower blind as well as another on the cut off the side of the tower!! Guess I should have been hunting the closer end of the property tonight! This is actually the first year I have had apple on the ground still during hunting season. There is so many around even on trees that usually don't have any.

Back out myself 61 here still -
Why buy when you can get for free. I go to a friends property that is too small to hunt and grab dirt from the scrapes and overhead branches and make my own. Did one last year and had 3 different bucks in the mock in the first 3 days I sat the stand. Myself I plan on waiting till the weekend of 10/17 to do this. This year I plan on making a scrape line of 2 or 3 instead of one alone.

I have not seen a tick yet this season which is a first for me in the past few years -
10/6 am 52 Out back in the far stand for 2 hours this morning. It was real peaceful!! Too peaceful lol. Just squirrels and leaves. When I got down I was kicking the leaves that had fallen away from the front of my stand and a deer started blowing a few hundred yards away? Not sure if it heard me or something else spooked it.

Believe me I understand your concern. Not easy to do something hanging from a tree! This relief in in a pouch I have attached to the front loop and slips right into my front pants pocket. No tangle and hopefully easy to get to.

Nothing but squirrels and leaves moving here -
10/5 pm 66 Took the morning off to catch up a little sleep and I wanted to shoot my bow after last night. Dead on as can be at 20-30-40 yards all operator error. Got out for just an hour tonight on the close field edge stand. Nothing to see.

I have hunted in a spot full of these for 10-12 years and I can honestly say I have never seen a deer eating them. I heard that they will but I have not seen any real signs of it. Now the squirrels just pound them.

It takes me less than 10 seconds to put the Muddy on. Very easy and has the relief system so if you do fall and can't climb into stand you can run a loop line down to step on to relieve leg pressure which is what will make things real bad for you real quick hanging in a harness if you can't relieve that pressure.

I would seriously look at the Muddy ones. I just got a new one for sale of Bass online for $39 from $49. It is a very comfortable, well made and you can not beat the price. Also a well known company. For children I don't think I have seen many except maybe the HSS which are popular too. Good luck and be smart and get one. I was indestructible once too!! Now we have others that count on us. http://www.basspro.com/Muddy-The-Magnum-Safety-Harness/product/1503131202/ http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Navigation?storeId=10151&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&searchTerm=youth+harness

10/4 pm 66 I shoulda just stayed in the house after my Eagle blew that game to the Skins! Out in the deep hole stand for 2 hours. I had the same doe and 2 fawns that I saw the other night head in. It took the doe forever and she is a real nervous girl. She stepped into my lane and stopped, I was at full draw, at about 28 yards. And I proceeded to shoot right under her!! Thousands of arrows practiced so when the shot counts I drop my arm fast as anything to watch the shot!!!! Of I stink Oh I stink Oh I stink!!! Hold the follow through! I was preaching to my 13 year old just yesterday as we were slinging practice arrows. Practice what you preach dad!!

What did the arrow blood look like? Smell like? Did you see where you hit? Blood on side of deer as it ran off? Reaction to hit? How was blood trail? Sprayed of to one side, both, none? Clots, bubbles? Did it bed?

Back out. It is a bit warm at 66 out but I got a good feeling tonight! -
10/4 am 50 degrees Out in the outer hole stand for 3 hours. It was a bit warmer and breezier this morning. At 7:30am had a spike walk by me at 20 yards. My brother was out as well up the ridge and saw the same spike. That was it.
