I have them wicked. Do not want to use poison due to kids/pets. Trap next to the holes? All I have is mounds of dirt no holes in it. Then next day more mounds.

PBR is drinkable then the next day you wonder why! And did someone make fun of Chucks! That ain't right!

I don't mind snakes at all we seem to have a bunch around the foundation every spring. We had so many last year the wife was looking up new real estate!! I got worried how much that was gonna cost me and me and my 12 year old son had to relocate about 20 of them back into the woods over a couple weeks. They sure as heck could do a better job with the moles I have tons of those dang things! The one thing I do not like is they have a really musky smell this time of year, must have to do with breeding, but man you get that stink on your hands and I smell it for a couple days. Ick

Just couldn't pass up a good deal. I now am the proud owner of a Mission Sniper Lite Crossbow. Very nice shooter. Can't wait to put some venison down with it.

I always end up packing out more than my own. Areas where people target shoot are crazy. Fisherpeeps are even worse! Look at the shores of our streams and rivers jeesh! Very disturbing to me especially from people who hunt and fish and enjoy the outdoors.

Been traveling a lot so need to get on the chores. Open the pool and power wash the cruddy synthetic deck for a day. Get some more garden planted. May slip out to try a turkey. May get the boat out. Will hoist a few to honor those that have served for us!!

I spent a lot of my youth on that river!! My grandparents owned a camp on the river for decades. Man some stories I could tell yikes, The Waverly, Riverside, Sportsmans Club, BMI, Tamarack....... oh lordy..... New a lotta awesome people up that way, most long gone now.

http://www.syracuse.com/outdoors/index.ssf/2015/04/trumansburg_deer_cull_program_using_archers_finishes_with_88_deer_killed.html#incart_river At least a few places make common sense decisions. A huge success, cheap, sent over 1000 pounds of meat to food banks and did not mess with deer with chemicals that who knows what will make who and what sick down the line with contraceptive techniques. Good for them I hope other towns duplicate this.

Right n with the chili!! It freezes good too! I make enough for an army, can't make a small batch!

That and if you needed food that bad I am sure you could get on a road kill list.

I like cold leftover pizza and leftover cold wings!! We eat leftovers here. Things like leftover smoked or beer can chicken gets frozen and used for soups/quesadias.....I work from home so I'll eat leftovers for lunch. I make good food and the leftovers don't last!!

Poachers suck! I woulda tried like hell to get a pic of the vehicle. Or hopped in my vehicle to follow and get the tag. I know put myself at a little risk but I hate poachers.

I should of done a Jack Hume hunt years ago when they were under 3 grand!! Now it is 7 grand that is a bit outa my budget.

Biz good idea. But after some searching I do not see anything below a $5 to $6 grand price tag and possible draw only areas? Any leads? Thanks,

I usually do not complain about the winter but this one has got me thinking of a grand plan to sell the big house in a couple years. Gotta get the youngins outa here first!! Get me that 100+ acres on the lake up north for May1 though Christmas(end of hunting season). Then get a small condo or place in the Keys for Jan., Feb., Mar. and Apr. Ah to dream

I know the frost was the deepest it has gone in my time here. My driveway where it meets the garage actually heaved and is 6 inches higher than it used to be. First time that has happened in twenty years! 7 feet I would say not near but deepest I can recall. Now to the syrup!! That looks delicious Dinsdale!!! My next prop will have sugar maple!! I need more hobbies!! lol

The areas we were looking at are over the counter Elk tags and draw for Mule deer. We, well some have already, applied for preference points this year for 2015. So when they/we go in 2016 we should get some Muley tags. My cousin and his group, I think 5 total, are doing CO. Myself my brother and a friend are doing a hunt just not sure if CO is for us. Now we are throwing around Canada Moose and fishing package! With another group. What we do know is we are doing a big hunt in 2016 and want to do a big game hunt either moose, caribou, elk, stag.... something bigger than deer. If anyone has some good ideas please shout out. We are not willing to do silly money hunts and think with a group of us somewhere in the 2 to 4 grand a piece range would make us all happy. Again we are not looking for a deluxe lodge guide holding hand experience. But some good opportunity at fair chase game and a bit of guidance. We would most likely look for options to drive to, we would be driving to CO if we go there, it is just as cheap as flying with all the baggage and hopefully meat home.

A group of us are in the beginning stages of planning for a Colorado Elk hunt during rifle season. We are looking at a semi guided hunt and maybe even mule deer. Does anyone have any recommendations on outfitters, areas. We are of course doing a lot of research but I am always looking for actual people for references. Thanks

I smoked a BIG FATTY for breakfast this morning!!!
Fletch replied to Pipecrew's topic in Game Recipes / Cooking
Lol you are turning into a smoker junkie!!! I have made quite a few of these, never twice with the same stuff!! You need to try ABTs now!! Atomic Buffalo Turds. -
Chip had a plan A through K and I do not think he is on any of them! I can say this; he has made the free agency more exciting to watch than watching any of the NY football teams games over the past couple of years!! lol Still lotta time and draft yet. I will not grade how it turns out till at least 3 or 4 games into the season.

Go MIGHTY GREEN BIRDS!!!! Chip is a MAD MAN!

lets see here Early teens I ran an am and pm paper routes, mowed 3 or 4 neighbors lawns and assisted the upholstery shop in the neighborhood. Mid teens - all of that as well as spent a summer sealing driveways(that sucked). Late teens- 20's I pumped gas, worked at McDonald's, was a pizza maker, ran the desk at a Howard Johnsons, worked at a bowling alley and learned to repair Brunswick equipment, tended bar and a machine operator. Always had two jobs plus a couple years of college. The Machine Operator job turned into a Lead then a Crew Chief then a Regional Manager to Operations Manager which I do now. I manage over 30 manufacturing facilities in the eastern half of the country. I work from home in my t-shirt, shorts and bare feet 90% of the time. This allows me to walk out the back door and hunt before and after work most of the season.

A good shot of moonshine works wonders then the smell of the grilling gets you over it!!
