  1. Press release on the green light bill....It absolutely allows illegals to be given drivers licenses....Its the whole purpose of the bill https://www.nysenate.gov/newsroom/press-releases/john-j-flanagan/democrats-continue-yield-lawbreakers-senate-gop-says-we-must
  2. My mind has slipped me on the name of where I launch on Sacandaga. It isn't Laskies for sure. Its bugging me that I can't remember it. South Shore is much easier on Saratoga but is the complete opposite end of the lake for me so I would have to go all the way around the lake. If I went to Saratoga on a weekend driving around the lake would be worth it but not for a couple hours after work. Ugg, the name will come to me as soon as I hit send....
  3. Wow, those are some nice looking early season bucks.....You must be counting the days.....
  4. Love seeing stuff like this on this forum.....Hopefully Greg gets lots of use out of it.....
  5. I saw a poll last night that said something along the line of 58% oppose 41% support......Who the heck supports this and thinks its a good idea? Illegals are illegal.....they should be detained and deported...period
  6. It really is.....and not just her.....I don't understand how half the people in this state, Washington and many other place are voted in and how anyone can agree with their politics....
  7. Less incarceration, parole for violent felons, no jail for violent crimes, no prosecution for migrant status, drives license's for illegal's, who votes for and thinks any of these things are a good idea? I just will never understand.....
  8. Where I launch my boat now on Sacandaga Lake, If you are not efficient getting in and out of the water the owner doesn't welcome you back. She watches everyone. I have had her tell people to watch my wife and I. Back in the water while my wife has a line....She swings it around the dock to the other side in about 30 seconds so we are out of the way for the next person while I am parking the truck...Bam we are out of there. Same going on....drive the boat on the trailer, my wife hooks it up and a couple cranks to make sure it is tight and my wife pulls me out less than a minute later. I love that she doesn't let people mess around!!! No aggravation to start or end the day. Its worth the $20 spot to launch all day long.....Sometimes I will go to Saratoga Lake after work to go fishing with a couple buddies since I live about 10 minutes from the launch. I dread going to the public launch there and that is during the week. I won't go near that place on the weekend.
  9. I like kayaking as well. I guess a lot of people don't see it the way I do. None of my boats have been a PITA. I do pay to launch my boat at a private marina 99% of the time because I can't deal with all the people that can't get their boat on and off the trailer. To me it is a very simple process but to many people it looks like the most difficult thing they have ever tried to accomplish. I guess if it took me an hour to get my boat on and off the trailer and then I had problems with the boat on top of it, that would ruin my day and I would get rid of it in a hurry...
  10. Oh yea, I have heard it a lot....Just don't understand it....To me there is no better place than on the lake....
  11. My Moultrie takes great daytime pics but the IR flash stopped working after the first year I had. I get lots of completely black pics.... I just grab whatever camera I can find at the cheapest price.
  12. People say that all the time. I never understand this thought process....Is it because you can't perform basic maintenance yourself? I am on my third boat. I had a 1983 Sportcraft with a 60 HP Merc....Then I bought a 1988 Searay Seville 19 ft bowrider that I owned for over 25 years. The only reason I got rid of it is because the interior became brittle and I didn't feel the boat was worth installing new interior in so I started looking for another boat. 6 or 7 years ago I bought a 2000 Regal LSR 21 ft that had spun a rod bearing (because the guy didn't catch a simple intake gasket leak and the motor filled with water) from a guy that basically said the same thing as you. He was tired of the money pit. I bought the boat for a song, put a short block in it and it has been perfect for 7 summers. I don't understand what people think is a PIA about owning a boat. I can't imagine summer without going to the lake whenever I can....I love boats!!! The only thing I agree with on your post is you can find some really nice boats for some great prices....
  13. Looks like a nice rig for the money. Is the interior decent and floor solid? Its still 19 years old and boats that old can be mint to absolute junk depending on how they were taken care off. My boat is a 2000 and while not perfect it is still very nice but it is always stored inside in the winter and under a carport all summer so it is always dry and out of the sun....
  14. That's all I ever do is bracket race. There are still rules....Helmet, Jacket etc....I don't get to do it very often now that my daughter is older and I am always going to soccer, track or whatever other function with her. But bracket racing is a ton of fun but you have to do it often to get good at it. I won one event several years ago and felt like I had it figured out. Wrong, closest I have been since is semi-finals. I only got to go once last year and didn't make it past 1st round. I blame it on the fact that I am driving a stick....lol
  15. You are correct but they seem to be making exceptions for these cars that can run those numbers from factory. I on the otherhand am tetering between needing a cage in my car and they give me a hassle because my car isn't stock. I have only broken into the cage bracket once or twice on perfect runs with perfect weather but then they come over and tell me to lay off at the end. I am not tearing up my car for a cage...
  16. When you are whipping along a 60+ MPH there is very little boat in the water. Just the very back and the prop. When you are driving a boat at that speed you can't make quick turns if you turn at all. You have to settle the boat back down so when the motor turns the boat bites in the water and makes the turn. What happened to him is he turned the wheel and the body of the boat turned with the motor but didn't turn on the water ever so slightly so as the boat settled down it made a very sharp whipping turn. Hopefully I am explaining that so you can understand it. Basically he tried to turn while there was no boat in the water to turn and when the boat settled back in the water and bit it turned violently. Kinda like riding a wheelie on your bike and landing with your handlebars cranked if you were unable to straighten the handlebars.
  17. I love Cars. The Hellcat is a hell of a ride. I got to drive one a friend of mine owns. Congrats, beautiful car. I love the color combo. There are a ton of cars I would love to have but my wallet doesn't justify it. I love all cars but have always been a Corvette guy. Back in 05 I found a 03 Z06 and pulled the trigger. Almost 15 years later and it still puts a smile on my face to drive it which is a good thing cause I can't afford a new one. I don't see myself ever getting rid of that car and I don't have enough money or space to support two toy cars. My buddies HellCat is damn near breaking into the 10's at Lebonan Valley and it is all stock. I finally talked him into getting a set of drag radials for it, I can't imagine it won't get into the 10's with some traction. It is really a remarkable car! Congrats again!
  18. I have a BAR in .308. I love it....Since I got it 6 or 7 years ago now, nothing else has come out of the safe during rifle season.
  19. Hope all is well Grampy!!! Sounds like it is going in the right direction.....
  20. I got out 0 times and once again didn't see a damn turkey....Turkey hunting sucks.....I can never find a bird...
  21. Bow - Both of my deer harvests with the bow were about 20 yds +/-. I shot a coyote with the bow at 45 yds +/- Crossbow - only 1 deer harvest, again about 20 yds +/-. Shotgun - I hunted a shotgun only zone for most of my young deer hunting years. 16- early 20's. I was sitting on the ground against a tree and a deer came flying up the ridge and stopped right in front of me. So close I wasn't sure what to do. About 5 feet away I just moved my 12guage 870 a little bit and fired from the hip and the little BB flopped over. I still regret shooting that deer even though I was young. I just didn't feel good about shooting a deer that way and the harassment from shooting a BB in camp didn't help. My longest shot with the shotgun was only about 50 yds. Rifle - I have been hunting with a rifle for over 20 years now and I haven't taken a shot over 100 yds. I very rarely hunt fields, and when I have a shot has never presented itself. All the deer I have taken have been in the woods and at 75 yds or less..
  22. Happy Birthday Grampy!! Have a great day!
  23. I have a crab apple tree right next to my deck. Last weekend when it was in full bloom there were so many bees in the tree you could hear it buzzing....
