  1. Good luck tomorrow. I didn’t make it out today, but maybe tomorrow evening.
  2. Have you taken a deer with it yet? What length barrel did you get?
  3. I just picked up a Sig P229 Legion DA/SA. It’s an absolute pleasure to shoot and definitely my new favorite, even over my other Sig which is a striker fired pistol. There is just something about hammer fired. I spent a lot of time trying to find one that fit me well and I was very impressed with Sig above all the others. I was just wondering what everyone else’s favorites are?
  4. Don’t be too sure about that. There’s plenty of hunting in those residential areas.
  5. I could take a pretty good guess on where that was taken, but I won’t. Too bad that’s not where I hunt.
  6. We’re in the midst of getting a few inches of fresh snow this morning. My target buck is back in his bedding area this morning and I may try to get out later today if the snow removal doesn’t wear me out. I’m still far from 100%. We’ll see how it goes.
  7. It wasn’t in the cards for me tonight. Not much was moving where I was.
  8. Finally made it out for an afternoon sit. Saw my target buck on cam close by this morning. Hopefully I didn’t bump him getting in and he makes an afternoon appearance. Either way it feels great to be out. It’s been a while and I feel very grateful just to have a chance.
  9. Congrats Steve. Sounds like a great deer.
  10. I think that’s why a lot of people have a problem with you Chef. You always take opportunities for cheap shots when you shouldn’t. You can’t say this is an isolated incident.
  11. Would you quit hunting if you developed an allergy to red meat? I would not.
  12. Maybe he has a red meat allergy, Alpha-gal. It’s very common around here with all of the lone star ticks around. If I acquired the allergy, I sure would not stop hunting but they would be donated to others who need them. I don’t see anything wrong with it. In fact, the population is so out of whack around here that many hunters will do their part and shoot more than they eat. Whatever they don’t gets donated to Hunters Help the Hungry. Would you stop hunting if you became allergic to red meat?
  13. I’m just waiting for Wolc to post another pic of his buck...lol
  14. Wow. I think some people need to get out of the house and do some kind of hunting. Small game maybe? Shed hunting? Duck/goose? Something? If this keeps up, it’s going to be a very long winter...Maybe someone can start a bickering thread.
  15. Haha. I’ll try. Maybe we can just start another thread for the bickering since someone kept complaining about the vaccination thread and got it shut down. I’d really hate for that to happen in this thread as there are still a few of us planning on putting some time in the woods.
  16. The season here in 1C is still open until the end of the month. And today is the first day of gun. Good luck to all who are still out there. I may actually try to get out this week with the bow for the first time in a long while if things go my way.
  17. Uneventful. I got hurt at work in October and haven’t been able to get out. On the flip side, I finally got the euro back from last year that I spoke to you about that I couldn’t find. Someone found him the day before I did. I’m very happy for that, and very grateful for things in general. The accident has kind of put things into perspective for me. How about your season?
  18. Could be. But after trying different combinations, heavier wasn’t always better for accuracy. For my setup anyway. It was last year but I seem to remember that adding more weight up front, I would loose the identical Impact of both heads. After many different combinations, I seemed to find the sweet spot on what worked for my setup.
  19. Also by adding the extra weight up front helped me achieve identical points of impact between field tips and broadheads.
  20. I found a happy medium worked best for me just shy of 500 grains. I still have a relatively flat trajectory and also quite a bit heavier than I was. It’s not necessarily the heaviest arrows that work, but more about having a higher FOC, or more weight up front.
  21. I have a feeling that someone is going to knock one down at the last minute. Good luck to all that are out there not giving up.
  22. Do you even know who Dr Robert Malone is? Did you listen to the interview? Can you tell my why he has been silenced by the left?
