  1. NYC seems to have the same problem like Paris (I've lived in Paris, but I've only visited New York City). I've noticed a lot of similar trends. Almost nobody is from the city itself, everybody is either born somewhere else and has moved to NYC, or is there just for education/art school/finding one's inner self/work. Because of so much tourists and immigration, the prices are constantly rising. The city is dirty. Something that is cheap for NYC, is actually unbelievably expensive for other parts of the USA (hotels, restaurants, almost every kind of deal). Both cities are like an air balloon, which is being pumped up and would blow up any moment.
