I have the most amount of buck this year caught on my cams but not one has been out in the daytime. Really frustrating, is there anything I can do Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I was able to kill my first buck on Tuesday morning. I had a 4 pointer following a doe at 8:00am decided to let them go and around 8:30am a decent 8 pointer pops out from some brush 40 yards out. I get him in my crosshairs and let it rip, he ran about 50 yards and dropped. Super excited Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hunt in 3G and I have a lot of buck on cams during the night and only doe during daylight hours. I checked cams today and there hasn't been much activity even at night since the 19th. I have some monsters on cam I wish they would come out in daylight Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I have been hunting for around 8 years now and I've killed a few doe but I have never been able to kill a buck. I would say I usually get out on average about 6 times during bow season and another 4 during gun. During this years bow season I saw 6 doe and 2 4 pointers but always out of range. This past weekend I was able to get out to my buddies property in Schoharie on Sunday night and hunted until Tuesday morning. If anyone was out there during those days they know the weather was miserable. On Tuesday morning I was out and I had a 4 pointer following a doe around 8:00am and I was tempted to kill this buck because I knew it would be my last hunt. I decided to let him go and 30 minutes later I had an opportunity I could not pass up. I had an 8 pointer come out from some brush and I got him in my cross hairs and the rest was history. I had a lot of night time activity on cams from the 16th thru the 18th. Have a lot of bucks with doe on cam but nothing during daytime. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm in Dover plains and we haven't seen anything since opening weekend. Our group killed 2 doe that weekend but since then It's been quiet except for the bobcat that was killed this past Saturday Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My property in Dover has been pretty quiet the last few years and I was thinking about investing some time and money into food plots. What is the overall reaction to doing this? Also any advice would be appreciated in regards to when to start plots and what type of crops etc...

Finally out here for my first sit during gun season in 4G. Our group killed 2 doe opening weekend and yesterday a buddy of mine shot a bobcat in the afternoon. Thanks for the insight. I'm gonna work on wooden stands in the offseason and look into a surveyor but that might be costly

I was wondering if there is a software I could use to help post my land. I own 52 acres and around all the fields I have it posted but we have around 10 acres that are in the woods and it's hard to find property lines. I know there is a hunting club close by in those woods and I believe some of the land they use belongs to me. I want to post in the woods because I had 2 metal stands stolen from locals I believe but I'm not sure....basically I want more stands in the woods and I can't place any until I know my property lines. Any suggestions?

I have been sitting for 2 1/2 hours this morning on one stand in the woods, thinking about moving to another stand. What do you think is it worth it to get another 2 hours from a different location on my property?
