  1. Chit! I just saw a PILE of .307 Winchester somewhere not too long ago. I mean a PILE; like 10-12 boxes. If I can ever remember/figure out where it was I'll let you know.
  2. I have only been hunting waterfowl for 2 years but the guys I hunt with say that they are very cautious. With the size of the flocks there are sooo many eyes to fool that if a couple see something they don't like they won't come in.
  3. Hotter than two mice screwin' in a wool sock.
  4. 9mm, .45, .50 caliber. Some places they are legal for deer. I'd use one, at least once just to try it.
  5. Good for you for not cheating and shooting him anyway.
  6. Probably my pillow. Got a 7pt with my bow yesterday evening.
  7. The bow I still use is a Darton 30MX that was built in 1986. I've had it for 26 years. Oh my gosh, it doesn't seem possible that I could've had something for 26 years.
  8. Look on the bright side, could've been me.
  9. 5:15 pm until dark. Which is now 4:15 pm until dark. Nothing mornings or midday.
  10. I think I've only ever shot one, maybe two that didn't have an odd rack.
  11. My body's in NY but I left my heart in Alaska.

  12. I can see where the OP is coming from though. How many times have you seen where someone asks something that could be easily answered by looking in the book given out by the people who are going to jam you, and then getting four different interpretations from people on here, none being correct?
  13. End of July I got my 11pt bow buck from 2014 back from Randy Thieme @ Randy's Taxidermy. http://randystaxidermy.vpweb.com/
  14. In my county I believe you have to live at the same address.
  15. Think you mean seceding, they are obviously succeeding.
  16. Summer projects, let's see... Buy new layout blind: check pattern shotgun: check camo paint shotgun barrel: check It's all about priorities.
  17. Not necessarily so. We did our house in '06/'07 and with the radiant floor heat we have had condensation/mildew issues every winter on the windows. We need an air exchanger but haven't put one in yet so we try to crack a few windows open to let it breathe a little whenever it's not too cold.
  18. Whatever. Stupid deer anyway. This year I've been looking out in the beans, "Huh, there's a few bucks." then scan the sky for HONKERS! Get more shooting and they're easier to drag.
  19. It has changed through the years. Started out squirrels, moved into Whitetail, then archery Whitetail. After my experiences last September and November though all I can think about is GEESE! I'm finally sleeping through the night again but all fall and spring when I'd hear honkers going over the house I'd wake up and run to the window. It's just like "The Night Before Christmas", standing there in just my stocking cap staring up at the sky drooling. Ok, not exactly like the night before Christmas...
  20. I'm with you. When I click on it and look at the bigger version all I see is the rabbit from Donnie Darko!
  21. Mossberg's version is called the C-lect choke. Works pretty good. Even though they're not rated for steel shot I used mine goose hunting last year and it didn't seem to hurt it, but I wouldn't recommend it because you could blow the choke off the end of the barrel. I just picked up a new/used barrel with the Accu-choke so I can use that now and retire the old C-lect choke barrel.
  22. I don't know why they don't come with a ghost ring or peep.
