I listed this last year about this time, but for different reasons. I need room in the safe and I want to buy some items to mod the new AR. TriStar Raptor 12GA- Shotgun is in VGC, just needs a home where it will see use. Uses Beretta/Benelli chokes. I'm including a bunch of ammo as well. The box of Heavy Shot only has 23 shells in it, the rest are full boxes. Not shipping, not separating, this is a package deal with the shotgun and the ammo. Buyer pays all FFL fees for transfer. I'm in the Southern Albany area and would prefer to make the transaction in this area. Please PM if interested, and we can work out the details. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE! $375 FIRM.

Yet, I see guys hunting with bipods on bolt rifles all the time. In fact, the guy who kept sitting in a few of my brush blinds last deer season had a bipod on his gun. So did a few guys in another area. I personally don't care if they have the bipod or not to be honest. I don't want to mess around with this one. I've noticed an increase in DEC on a good share of the places I hunt due to the increase in more hunters in the woods. My last day out squirrel hunting, DEC pulled in and actually blocked me so I couldn't back out. I had just put everything away and started the vehicle and was standing in the back getting my water bottle from the pack when he pulled in. Talked for a minute and then asked to see my license. Had a nice chat while he looked that over, and he even stated they are patrolling the higher pressure areas more now. So I want things to be right and proper, just in case.

My range time with the rifle will be mainly sighting in and making sure it's still dialed in here and there, just like my deer rifles. If I want to plink, I have the 22LR for that. So this is being set up for hunting as well.

I agree with this, and leave the "Live From The Office" chatter to text or different threads. -
Might I ask what system they used to pin the mag grampy? My biggest thing is, I won't epoxy anything into the mag slot. I'll sell one of my other firearms to pick up the Thordsen before I do that (which I plan on doing, most likely anyway). I have learned to use the spur on my M&P 1522 and gotten used to it, but that's a lot lighter than the Radical FR16 I bought, so I want something a little better on that rifle.

To remove the MLock don't you have to end up drilling through the lower body and part of the trigger assembly? I'm not sure how I'd like having to continuously load from the top, as well I'm looking at options if I do lock the magazine and then don't like the functionality, I'd prefer not to have to buy a whole new lower. I don't have the monetary option of "Oh well, let me drop another hundred or so because hey, it's only money.". I'm just exploring some options.

Like I got hit by a speeding moped.

NY needs to be split in two. NNY and SNY, with the state line being the southern borders of Green, Delaware, and Columbia counties. As long as this state remains as it is, the NYC areas will forever dictate what the rest of us can and cannot do. It's sad, but very true. When Andy gets his seat back, you can bet your buttons he'll go after more gun laws to be spiteful.

I figured as much. We used some pet safe insecticide a few years ago that worked, but haven't found it again since, and we don't remember the name.

I spent part of the afternoon checking out this and that for AR's. Uppers, compliant grip/stock options, mag locks, scopes, and a bunch of other stuff. There are so many gray areas concerning a mag lock, it's not even funny. I had been eyeing the MA Lock Mean Arms, but the shop I was at this morning says they aren't actually legal. The MLock is a gray area as well, because when you release the rear pin and open the upper, the mag can drop out. I'm not looking to turn this into some political debate, but I'd like to know what options are out there to pin the mag if I choose to later in time without ruining the lower with epoxy or any other stupidity. Any thoughts from the scary black gun crew?

How would that fare having a dog? I was out last night doing some flint and steel stuff and the freakin' bloodsuckers were already out and chased me back in the house. If that's safe to put around and not have to worry about harming the pup, I'd give it a try in a heart beat.

Ouch! I thought the tests were supposed to be free, I guess not for our northern brothers and sisters. Like I said, I hope it pans out.

Radical Firearms FR16 .223/5.56, two extra mags, and 100 rounds of ammo. I'm going Thordsen stock in a few weeks and staying featureless. I have no need for flashlights, a forward grip, or any other gizmos. I originally had no plan to put a scope on her, just use the AR15 sights I have, but I might add a scope later on after I give some thought to red dot or crosshairs.

Shouldn't be any different from a limit of bass or other game fish, and releasing a smaller one for a larger catch.
-
What's the knife in the second pic at the very bottom? It sort of reminds me of an LTW, especially with that scandi grind.
-
The bass season change doesn't add much. What, a few days most years? The trout is a bit of a surprise, a good one, but still a surprise.

Look at the bright side, you nailed Virginia, but not Georgia. 1 out of two isn't bad with them southern ladies. I liked reading about your Ontario trips. If you're heading up this year, good luck, I hope you fill your tags.

If you're not feeling adventurous, give it to the dogs. Cow heart can be tricky. I made jerky with a few of them once, it was fine for two days, then it got really moldy even in the fridge.

Are you hunting public land down there Biz or did you already score some private land to set up on? Maybe you mentioned it and I missed it.

The only thing stopping anyone from hunting the NZ is them not wanting to hunt the NZ. I don't get to spend even half as much time hunting up there as I used to, or that I'd like too. -

It might have been last night if the place had either answered the phone or called me back. If a place doesn't have 5 minutes to call me back, then I don't have hundreds of dollars to spend in their store.

There's another I built, but it's in a case, and it doesn't come out. I've also built and sold about 30 including some Kepharts and Enzo Trappers. The bottom knife on the left is the knife I built for my wife, she wanted pink liners and I talked into red. The very bottom is a Becker BK16 I stripped the coating from and I put custom scales, liners and pins on.
