holy friggen kidney stone/new appreciation for my wife
rob-c replied to rob-c's topic in General Chit Chat
Depends lots of factors , google it you will get tons of info. I think mine is I switched to a higher protien diet ( that I have lost 30 lbs on) but it may have caused it. Damed if you do damned if you don't . Thing that gets me is I drink lots of water, water is all I drink beside a beer every now and again ,plus I do a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar before every meal and that's supposed to help with stones . but I still got one. -
holy friggen kidney stone/new appreciation for my wife

The stone was blocking my tube and my kidney was backing up, so he had to get the stone moved so I could drain .doc said the blockage was worse than he thought and said the shock wave wouldn't work, told my wife it would be a waste of time and money. and said the laser is 98% effective. -
holy friggen kidney stone/new appreciation for my wife

Thanks all for the kind words . it's better today and things are working again . And to all those who have had stones, man I wouldn't wish this on anyone. -
so had some pain in my lower left stomach and would radiate to my back Tuesday at work, waited for my wife to get home after work and she says lets go to ER. well long story short they find a 7 millimeter stone blocking my left kidney, kidney was inflamed and swollen. they admitted me and scheduled surgery for yesterday . Doctor went in up through the baby maker and installed a stint and a coil to hold the stone back so the kidney could work and drain again. I have to go back in 4 weeks and they are going to use a laser to bust up the stone after my kidney heals.. They say its very close to child birth pain . so let me tell you I have a new found respect for my wife for giving birth to our two giant boys. I feel I am a pretty tough guy and have been told I have a high tolerance for pain a few times, I have even torn the ligaments in my left knee....but dang that is some pain I will never forget..........

my youngest (he's 20 and just a super responsible young man) just went to Haiti for relief work over spring break. it was the best experience he has ever had, he plans on going back next year. from what you describe your daughter sounds like a responsible young lady with all she has going on in her life now, let her go dad she will remember it the rest of life.

I shoot 3 - 4 inch feathers, my reasons are / clip a small slice in any vane and shoot it,it will affect flight. now take a feather fletched arrow and cut a chunk out of it and it will fly straight. no matter how beat up feathers get they fly straight. a vane fletched arrow if it brushes a limb will deflect more versus a feather that will lay down as it brushes the limb . feathers give a better front of center because they are so light. The biggest myth that feathers shoot like crap when wet. take a feather fletched arrow and let it sit in water for a minute then nock the arrow and shoot it, the force from the launce will shed all water from the feathers. besides who bow hunts in a down poring rain. now the speed debate. yes you will loose a few fps but at 30 yards and down the point of impact will be negligible.plus I use the bohning archery feather tape so fletching is instant no waiting for glue to dry . i have tried all the things I stated, try them you may be surprised...

that would be antler restriction's, for those comically inclined........... -
Budget went through, so I am assuming we will have AR's for the entire state ?

If one gives a fair chance they are excellent for knowing your dead nuts shooting the same form every time. After awhile you will draw your bow and it's aligned every time. The really nice thing about this alignment system is when you have to take that twisted weird treestand shot, if you anchor sight is aligned your golden. Next time your out shooting your bow draw line up you peep sight and pin then just slightly torque your bow and release .see how much your arrow is off .

I wasn't talking about the deer, I wouldn't want to sit for hours and hours listening to the rain hitting the tin. and for me I wouldn't want the extra noise to take away from me hearing a deer.. but that's me...

The patio umbrella is a good idea, it would be a lot quieter than rain hitting a metal roof .

‘Just See How I Shoot.’ In Norway, Women Are Joining the Hunt.
rob-c replied to EspressoBuzz's topic in General Chit Chat
Women/young women that hunt are great in my opinion. It took me a few years to slowly introduce my wife and now she absolutely loves hunting , shooting etc. if more women would go into it with a open mind , I think they would enjoy the experience. And my wife has out shot me before and other men so yeah there's that .... -
One buck limit per hunter, shoot what you want but only one. Simple. We lease 300 acres and my wife and my son have never shot a buck, they have shot does. My son had numerous encounters with a few 4 points during archery and a 6 during gun. he did not connect on any, and to hear his story's and how excited he got was great. I have passed many 6 and 8's because that's my choice, but I would be so happy for my wife or son to take one . I can still remember every detail of my first buck I ever shot it was a spike and I shot him with a bow at least 20+ years ago, a true trophy still .

My whole family has been using the old timberline no peeps for many many years and we all love them. I actually bought to spares from archerytalk classifieds after timberline sold out. Let us know how you like the anchor sight compared to the old no peep .
