  1. I agree with doc and culver.  Lets stop giving everything away.  We have people starving in our own country, but any tragedy/earthquake/mudslide/tsunami etc in any other part of the world we bend over backwards.  Celebrities come out of the woodwork to raise money to help.  They start foundations and donate their time/efforts to help these people which is good I guess.  But What about the AMERICANS that are in need?  Our Military Jumps into huminatarian mode for these other countries in their time of need delivering food/supplies/ etc.  We pay for this and yet most of the world hates us anyway.  Why cant we just take care of our own?

  2. I have an api grand slam climber and its very stable and comfy.  It also weighs 38 pounds! my friends and I call it the "family truckster"  not pack worthy.  I have used a summit viper and that stand is perfect for bowhunting I think.  Light to carry but stable once your up.  I like to be at least 20' up.  When your looking to buy a stand- dont cheap out. How much is your life worth?

  3. Yeah I agree not bowhunting in the rain for fear of losing the trail in case of a marginal hit or liver hit.  Right when the rain ends the deer will be moving and Ill be out there.  Its raining right now and supposed to rain all day friday and friday night into sat morn.  Those deer should be hungry on opening day!!  good luck every one

  4. thats cool my buck target got wiped out last year!  I wont use any scents until last week of oct. early nov.  a couple of years ago I used estrous too early and spooked the does away.  I'd rather wait longer maybe just use straight doe pee.

  5. I have been against deer drives in the past thinking of the safety.  I woudnt do a drive opening day or even the first week.  Last year I was invited to do a drive the last sat in m/z.  I was very reluctant since I have always hunted on my own or with guys I have known and feel comfortable around. This drive was being put on by a friend of a friend etc they needed more guys and since I hadnt filled my tag yet I agreed  figuring that if it was unsafe or unorganized i would bail.  I was very relieved that safety was the most important element of the day.  I had a great time , met some great new friends and will definitely go again this year.  btw most of the tags filled that day the deer were donated to the county food pantry.
