  1. Coffee, a biscuit, and then head up the hill. First hunt of the year! Best of luck to all hunting today! A hearty congratulations to Culvercreek on his first recurve buck yesterday!!! Way to go Bob! You earned that one my friend!!
  2. Babies........lip smacking good. Is it any surprise that lunatics like this mingle at AOC gatherings? Or that AOC doesn't have the woman escorted out, and she seems to almost appease the whack job!
  3. LET'S GO YANKEES!!!!! LET'S GO YANKEES!!!!! LET'S GO YANKEES!!!!!
  4. Ahhh....the old I zig, the deer zag game! I play it too! And much too often! Best of luck wherever ya go Biz!
  5. We have a huge solid oak dining table, that gets used by kids and grandkids every Sunday. And by Mrs. grampy and I throughout the week. No Phones Allowed At The Table!!! Son and daughter in law already lay claim to it, when we are no longer here to use it.
  6. That 4 x 2 will be waiting for you this afternoon. There......decision made!
  7. Hmmm..... sometimes, good things happen to those who wait............
  8. ALWAYS....figure November 10th as the "magic day". The five days on either side of the 10th are almost as good. Count on those same dates every year. No matter the moon phase or weather.
  9. Way to go Mike!!!! Congratulations my friend! Beautiful buck!! Way to break the ice! Capital Region guys on the board!
  10. I got the pic's. Let me ask around a little this weekend. Where are you located?
  11. Yup, the one in East Berne. Be happy to have ya join us if ya can! I got stuff to do at the farm, so will head out of the woods at 10:30 or so. Then go back in hopefully about 2 and sit till dark. So I should be there about 11am or so, for a cup of coffee and a quick bite to eat.
  12. Happy Birthday Kid! Ya grew up here and we miss ya! Enjoy your special day sir!
  13. Since bermjohn is very busy enjoying his life at this time. And cudo's to him! Could our current mods, and perhaps one or two new ones, be given more authority from our esteemed site owner? To approve new members, run the store, and other needed duties? Would really like to see this site continue for many more years to come. I've met some of the best people I know from this place! Made friends I'll have for life. I visit every day. And except for a guitar site, it's pretty much the only one I frequent. If there is anything I can do to help, I'll be happy to do so.
  14. Big doe and fawn in the pasture behind the house this morning. Driving to work, two small bucks crossed the road near the reservoir. They seem to be liking the cooler weather this morning! Got all my stuff sprayed with Sawyers last night, for my first hunt Saturday morning at the lake property. Best of luck to all hunting today!!
  15. Beautiful stuff, and nice quality, for not a lot of money. Like Law said, I can't believe you're still trying to sell this???? Hope it finds a good home for the holidays.
  16. Sounds like an awesome hunt! That ten point will give you a chance before it's all said and done!!! Perhaps before the end of this weekend? The seven must be real nice as well, to have tempted you? Good luck buddy!
  17. Be patient. If you had all those deer on camera earlier, they'll be back at some point. They're just off on a preferred food source right now. When that gets used up they'll be on to another one. Pretty common this time of year. To consistently put yourself in good spots early season, find where they like to bed. Then try to find the preferred food source. Then set up somewhere down wind, in between. Did I mention patience????.......
  18. As it should be my friend. Kids and family first! Way back when, it didn't take long for me to figure that out. I couldn't enjoy a single second in the woods, knowing that my family, or a friend needed me. I never would have believed before kids, and responsibility came into my life, that ANYTHING was more important than hunting and fishing. Glad I figured out differently, before I screwed everything up. I have much more time to hunt now than I ever did when I was younger. It all does balance out.
  19. Who says sportsmen don't have power? When politicians from the left, and corporate jerk off's, try to stomp on our 2nd amendment rights, we can kick back! When we stick together, our numbers are many, and our will can be strong. When I think of the cash I used to spend in Dicks, over the course of a year. And times it by hundreds of thousands of other sportsmen, nation wide, who also decided to boycott Dicks. It has to have made a big financial dent in their bottom line. Good!! I have ordered a couple things from S W over the last couple years and found them good to deal with.
  20. Nice work!!! What a dream team! These are the stories that warm the heart.
