True......very true. Not a pretty sight. But a very rugged way to kill a deeah. And I got no boolits left anymore. So perfectly legal too.
-
Think I'll just hunt in the buff, and scare em to death. Looking for a hunting partner too. Preferably a blind one.

maytom, I was hoping to see your name pop up here during May!! Rainy weather has turkey's tight lipped here. With lots of standing water to navigate around in the fields. Did see two on Sunday. But in the mid afternoon. You got this my friend. Will be looking forward to seeing you in a pic with a nice Tom very soon. Sending you good luck and well wishes from Zach and I.

I honestly thought the price was a misprint? I have a bass boat, that's bigger, a few years newer, with more motor, in great shape, and would be lucky to get half the asking price of this one. I don't mean to crap on your thread. Just saying, if you adjust the price, you may sell it quicker. It does look to be a nice boat. Good luck with the sale.

Happy Birthday BowmanMike!!!

Last Sunday, I was at the farm checking some fields, and saw two bucks bedded 50 yards away. Both had domes, a couple inches high. And were big bodied deer too. Looks like the deer came through the winter just fine here, as we saw quite a few doe, with last years fawns too. Their winter coat is falling out now, making them look a bit blotchy, and the summer coat is starting to come in.

I have no doubt that you will get a gobbler down at some point this season. You are too good, and too dedicated, to not pull it off somehow, somewhere, someway. Was it last year you tipped over a huge tom near the end of the season? Wishing you luck. Get out there and send it!

You deserve every one of em. You always go the extra mile sir. And are a fine representative of us all. Hope to catch up with ya on Saratoga Lake this summer!

And still funny today!

Congratulations my friend! Well done!

We do have equipment on our farm property, up the hill from my house. Was up there yesterday, and have standing water in most fields. No one will be turning over any ground for corn, food plots, or anything else up there for the time being either. First hay cutting should be fantastic this year though, when it finally does dry out enough to cut it. I was being facetious about brush hogging my back lawn. I have a push mower, and two strong grandsons as a backup plan!

No way. It would be buried in short order in the muck and mud. At the very least, it would be rutted up beyond repair. Can't remember a wetter early spring here.

Almost two weeks since the last mowing. Rain in the forecast for nearly every day this coming week too. No way to get a machine back there unless it floats! Grass and yellow flowers are growing like crazy. Will be a big mess when I finally do cut it. May as well wait until July, and just brush hog it at this point. Other thing is, where my boat is parked for the winter, I can't get back with my by truck to pull it ahead to start getting it ready. Anyone know if they make mower attachments for bass boats???

A big high five, and a hearty congratulations to your daughter!!! Making those hunting memories together for a lifetime is priceless. Those smiles, are among real reasons, and the absolute joy, we get for being hunting instructors. Sounds like she had a very good crew out there. We welcome her to our ranks.

Have you ever even hunted with a bow? Successfully, if at all? Speak not, of what you know not. When it comes to sticks and strings, of any kind. And stick to firearms. If ever there was an online poser, you sir fit the definition.
-
Take a deep breath and breath it all in........you are in your happy place now! Good luck out there tomorrow.

No Fear Factor for Joe!!

Now that the Democrats have the numbers control in NYS, they will pass full inclusion, and take the credit for it. Cuomo has said he would sign the bill, the last couple of years. But the bill always died on the floor, before being voted on. Because one side didn't want the other to take credit for it. This is what I heard from a well connected person in Albany. And the way things are done in Albany, this almost makes sense. With all the petty BS that goes on there. That and NYBH, no longer has as strong a voice as in the past. Yes!!! The very first thing with full inclusion, will be a mandatory Bowhunter Education Course, to hunt with a crossbow. It should have been that way from the start!!! No grandfathering. You will need to have a Bow stamp period. I know we have had hundreds of pages of discussion about crossbow full inclusion on this forum, and I don't care to debate it anymore. ( I'm a long time bowhunter) But since they made crossbow legal a few years ago, for part of the season. It was always a forgone conclusion, that full inclusion was inevitable at some point. I "think" that time has come. Good or bad.

It always brings a smile to my face when I see a youngster pass their Hunter Safety Course. Congrats to your daughter sodfather! So cool, you have a lifelong hunting partner! And we have another young lady added to our ranks. My first gun was a broken stock single shot 22lr given to me from the farmer I worked for. My first REAL gun was a Model 37, 16 gauge Ithaca, that I purchased with money earned working for that farmer. That gun has killed everything from chipmunks to deer. I still have it.

Great story. Great hunt. Great gobbler!! Congratulations!

Haven't cut mine in eight days. The back yard is so wet, I can't get back there without getting stuck or leaving ruts. Grass is getting high too. Could really use some sun and wind at this point. But looks like more rain, just about every day for at least the next week. My yard looks like crapola. And will only be getting worse. Anyone got a few goats or sheep I can borrow?

Makes no difference what talking head they prop up tp lead the NRA these days. I will continue to send in my membership dues. Even though I feel the NRA left us New Yorkers hanging over the abyss.

Congratulations on a fine hunt and turkey!!! Way to go!!
