  1. Wishing you luck and lots of fun duck/goose hunting! I haven't done it alot, and not for many years now. But it certainly was fun!! Do you like eating duck and or goose? The main reason I don't hunt them now, is I didn't care for them much on the dinner plate. But I'm sure a better cook than I could do much better.
  2. I'd bag the trash, and leave it next to the folded up blind too. If still there in the spring, the blind is yours for the trash removal fee.
  3. Wow ! What a beautiful rifle Al ! Nice tree rat! I gotta get out and get a few, to make a stew,.......too!
  4. Hey...................his form doesn't look too bad?
  5. I had turkeyfeathers as one of my picks, during the season. Like Cabin Fever, his grit, and determination are much to be admired! I too hope he scores in the late season! I have been pulling for him big time! C'mon Jay!!!
  6. It was an easy decision to pick you Paul! You have a great property, and are a seriously awesome hunter!! And Cabin Fever has the tenacity of a pitbull, and a never give up spirit, that I admire greatly! The hardest part of this, was there are so many great hunters to pick from! That said, it ain't over till it's over!! Still have a week to go!!! Wishing good luck to all!!!
  7. The lights flickered here once, but power never went out. Over near our old house, power was out all night and came back on this morning.
  8. Before I started handloading my own recipes, Remington ammo shot the worst of any other brand of ammo I tried. I only hunt deer with a 270 and a 7mm-08. With handloaded Nosler 140 grain for both. Love the performance and accuracy of those bullets.
  9. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. My prayers are with you.
  10. When getting your first bow, it's all about feel. Forget brand names, and choose the one that feels best to you! Sounds like you have a line on a good bow shop and tech. That's more than half the battle. They should get you all squared away. Once you have your new bow, learning proper form from the start, will be imperative to shortening the learning curve. Plenty of YouTube and other sources to learn from. Then once you have that, each shot will be a check down, done exactly the same each shot. Proper grip. Draw smooth. Push-Pull the bow. Hit your anchor. Let the pin float over the target. Smooth release. Follow through.....Don't move that bow arm, till the arrow hits the target. Repeat over and over.
  11. Cynthia, sending thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
  12. Congratulations my friend! You have had a great year! Way to go!!
  13. This is really close to me! I might have to enter! I grew up fishing Thompsons Lake.
  14. Congratulations!! Beautiful late season buck! Way to stick it out!
  15. Congratulations Bob!! Well earned my friend!! So happy for you!!!
  16. You are way overdue Bob!!! Get out there and git em too!! If you score a buck this week, I have a spot picked out in my man cave for the forum plaque!!! Sending you good luck !!! You got this!! Can't think of too many, who deserves a late season buck more than you and turkeyfeathers!
