First trip on the ice this year for me. The walleyes were pretty bitey, the perch, not so much. Home by lunchtime, it was starting to get nasty out there with the wind. 12" of ice on Oneida. Bass are in no way better tasting than walleye or perch in any poll. Bass are easier to catch which I'm guessing is probably a factor in some people's situation (much like shooting fawns). I like eating fish and I haven't kept a bass in forever. If you like them then go for it, but I know a TON of fisherman and very few keep bass at all, yet most are willing to go out and sit on a block of ice when it's 5° to catch perch/walleyes. I also prefer Husky liners to weather tech for the same reasons others mentioned. They are softer in composition which seems to allow them to remain in a perfect fit for years. My wife has weathertechs and hers are seeming to pull away a bit from the contours they started with. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk

Color is usually my last concern when truck shopping also, this time I ended up with black, I wanted the granite crystal but couldn't find a package I wanted in that color. I love a black vehicle when they're shined up, problem is it lasts for 20 minutes. My Tundra was silver and that truck would hide a lot of filth, but never looked as good when it was polished either. The boat matching comment is funny because I didn't even think about that but when I got the truck home I realized they matched also... I just did the same in September, went to a 3/4 Ton. I also didn't really "need" a 2500 to tow my boat but I knew I wanted 35" tires and the 2500's will fit them stock. I threw a level kit and 35x12.5's on it and it sits like a 1500 would with a 4-5" lift kit installed. I also got a sweet deal on my trade so I figured why not... I got rid of my slug gun once just about every area I hunt went to rifle. I hope I never have to deer hunt with a slug gun again, never liked it. I'll take a muzzleloader over slug guns anyday. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk

Ram is tough to beat in bang for your buck I think. I went back to Ram a few months ago also when I traded my Tundra in. I have no complaints with the Ram yet, other than the mirrors are a bit funky, unless you just leave them in tow mode. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk

To me? Yes. Would it make a damn difference if the deer ran across the Rd into the same said piece in front of the drivers? Or what if someone watched him bed down in there then they organized a drive? So in order to be fair chase you can't have any indication of where a deer may be in relation to where you are hunting?? The whole conversation is odd to me really. I can see both sides to a point. On one hand a guy can plant food plots, put up a redneck blind, sit in there with the heater on watching 300 acres of corn and shoot a deer with a $3,000 rifle and drive over on his UTV and drag it out. Yet a camera is an unfair advantage?? Give me a break. If I were to come up with a rifle system that were computer driven somehow to never miss a shot, hunters would buy it up faster than I can get them. Same with crossbows, look how that market is taking off in NY. Are fish finders cheating also? How many of you would be ok with banning them while fishing? I see no issues with trailcams. I have 5 cell cams, yet I did not tag a buck this year. Most hunters could run 20 cameras and still not be able to piece together anything meaningful. The cameras are as much for entertainment than anything. We have debates on here constantly about "if you don't want to use a crossbow, then don't", "if you don't like the early season then don't hunt it" but now it's suddenly ok for someone to tell someone else if they should be allowed to use cameras? Is this sentiment a worry that the neighbor might find out about a big buck hanging around? In my opinion, we have enough BS in NY, trail cameras don't even register for the list.
