  2. Thanks guys! What a day! Bucks everywhere! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  3. My first morning of a 20 day vacation, had a Spike and 6 come by, an hour later I hear grunts close by in the bedding area, I grunt back, nothing. About an hour later I hear a weird noise and a stick break in the same spot. I stand up and grab my bow just in case. Out comes the biggest buck we have on camera. He's at 35 so I adjust my sight and he turns and comes on the sidehill above me at 25 yds. No time to adjust the sight so I held low and put it behind the shoulder and I didn't dare to try to stop him So I shoot. It hits him a bit back, he runs 30 yds, stops, looking around, then panics and runs 50yds to the top of the hill and stands, wagging his tail fast. I slip out quiet and gave him 6 hours. We slipped back in and took up the trail before dark, pretty steady blood for about 75 yds then we see 2 bloody beds about 4' apart. While I glance up I see him 5 yds away but his head looks up. We watch him for a few seconds and I see his antlers move. I kneel down and put one in his lungs and he rolled onto his back and died. My best buck to date! 190# dressed. 11 points. While waiting for my buddy to meet me I had a 7pt cruise right by my truck without a care in the world! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  4. A few more teasers, I'm so jacked! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk

  6. Had a Spike and 6 come by at 25, heard some grunting and saw one unidentified deer near corn Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  7. Good to hear, the last week was pretty slow and the switch flipped the last couple of nights. I'm off for 18 days starting tomorrow, perfect timing! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  8. Cruiser, too bad I wasn't in the tree this AM. 6 bucks on camera last night also. I think it's happening in 8F. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  9. How high are you typically going? If you're only going 10-12' off of the ground that could be your issue. I go 25'-30' as an average and very rarely if ever get busted for moving. Cover is also important but I choose height over cover in most spots. That's the reason I don't use ladder stands, the 15' stands I feel put you in a better position to get spotted than if you were on the ground. It's not hard to see a big blob hanging off the side of a tree at 15', go up to 25' and it's a different story, you're out of their peripheral vision for the most part. 10. I never put anything in mine either. It is a bit dry but I don't make burgers, I use it for stews, spaghetti, chili etc... I want it lean, that's why I like venison. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  11. Pretty cool cake my wife brought home too! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  12. 100" shy of a shooter. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks gents! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  14. I'm in, bumped 4 out if the field, big buck came by 3 hours ago. Here's to hoping for a birthday buck! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  15. One Spike so far, I could hear a deer sneezing or coughing a few different times this afternoon, then he appeared. Guess his allergies are acting up. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  16. I don't buy the saddle being faster for even a second. It may have certain perks but from the base of the tree to 25' there's absolutely no way you can do it faster than I can with my climber. I've watched dozens of YouTube videos on saddle hunting and it takes them an average of I'd say 10-15 minutes to get fully set up. I can be to 25' in less than 3 minutes and that's in a hunting scenario not racing. Maybe with spikes you could be a lot faster but with climbing sticks, zero chance. I've done the climbing sticks to a prehung stand before and it's still not even as fast as a climber with someone who knows what they're doing. Maybe I'm just faster than most being that I've lived almost exclusively in mine for the last 12 years? Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  17. Depends, have you ever been bit by one?? Those little lady demons hurt! Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  18. She hit the scale at 11lbs, the arm extension is to showcase the fish, not my mug. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  19. She's close! A few more pounds and I'd have taken measurements for a mount. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  20. Live from the jet boat... Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  21. People who have so many issues with climbers must be doing something wrong. My 2 vipers pack up in less than 2 minutes, it nests tight, no noise, the seat is like a recliner in a tree. I bought the summit backpack straps and added a third hand bowholder. My pack straps to the nested climber and a carabiner attaches the backpack straps. I love my summits. They aren't as light as some other options but I can stay comfortable dark to dark. I'll take a bit of extra weight rather than sacrifice comfort with a saddle or hang on stand. 22. Agreed, the penalties are too light in NY. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
  23. My good buddy who is a DEC officer confiscated a dandy 8pt this morning. Guy shot it from his vehicle last night with a 22mag. Neighbors blew him in. Sent from my moto g(6) using Tapatalk
