  1. Went to a new stream today, landed 17 trout, lost a 17" at the net, gorgeous fish no matter the size. Used the 3 wt fly rod again, swinging nymphs and streamers. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  2. 50 fish day on a local stream today, first time trout fishing with my new 3wt fly rod, it works great. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  3. A few on the fly today, countless rockbass, a few big gills. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  4. Wanted to try out my new 3wt fly rod, the smallies didn't disappoint... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  5. I save most of the feathers for fly tying, great for nymphs, great Marabou too Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  6. First king of the year for me, a few salmon and browns wanted to play this morning Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  7. As an owner of a "crotch rocket" I think the idea that everyone who drives one is crazy or careless is off base. It's just the ones who drive like delinquents are the ones you notice most. I've never done wheelies and don't speed except for a rare occasion that I open it up a bit. I've seen my share of cruiser style bikes driving like idiots too. Idiots are going to be idiots no matter what they're on or in... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  8. Probably my last steelhead trip until fall, they're getting scarce in the river now, smallies are coming in though. Gorgeous day to be on the Salmon River. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  9. Haha I'm telling you that's exactly how it layed, I certainly didn't "pose" anything... Go to airport Rd in Camillus and walk between the road and Ninemile Creek and see for yourself! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  10. I guess the fishing was a little to slow for someone! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  11. Does this count? I found it while trout fishing this spring near a parking area. Definitely at the top of weird for my finds! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  12. The Salmon River was good to me today, brought 7 steelhead and 3 bass to hand and never saw another angler. Mid May is not supposed to be this awesome for chrome steelies! Here's a few Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  13. I was using a 5 weight rod, here's a couple of streamers that are my favorite styles to fish. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  14. Awesome! As usual! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  15. There are even catch and release bass tournaments before the actual season. You take a picture on a certified bump board and total length in inches takes the win. It's popular with the kayak tournaments. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  16. The definition of "catch and release" is on the DEC website, a link was provided, if you want to call them and they can read it aloud to you then go for it. Didn't you have a big problem with Grow because she couldn't ever admit when she was wrong? Well you were wrong here, assuming what I did "was no doubt in violation" of the law. Which I wasn't. Maybe if you're "not a big fisherman" you shouldn't be so quick to side with someone else's accusations about fishing laws. Maybe Grow wasn't the only one that can't admit when they're wrong huh? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  17. Don't be ridiculous, So I let the first time slide, now again for the same thing and it's just a coincidence? You now posted a picture of my post as "proof" of my illegal activity and you were wrong again but still can't admit to me you were mistaken and called me out unjustly... So at the beginning of this post my opinion differed from yours (we won't mention how many other people saw it the same as I did but I bet they don't have a "target" on their back) and that makes me the bad guy? How dare I disagree with WNY!? I forgot you're a forum moderator who puts "targets" on people's backs for disagreement. How about you just tell me you're definition of "catch and release" was wrong and I am allowed to take pictures and you shouldn't have tried to paint me as a law violator? See that's what rational adults do, they admit when they are wrong, I'm not holding my breath for that... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  18. Nobody implied or was saying you can catch and release all species? Not sure where you're going with that? The species was bass, which you can now. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  19. Was she? Because a short while ago you thought I was wrong, without even knowing any of the details, you were saying I was guilty of something without even knowing which fish we were talking about or whether or not it was in season!? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  20. The fish posted was/is in season... Do you own a fishing regulations guide?? He was trying to make something to slam me for because he got butthurt 193 pages ago when he tried calling me out for trout fishing out of season, he was wrong then, he's wrong now. It would be nice to know why he's still actively stalking me, much like you did to Grow. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  21. Tied up some streamers last night using a lot of the feathers I took from the bird I shot yesterday, I'd say the smallies liked them, I must have hooked 25 smallmouth on my fly rod, battling 4 lb smallies on the fly is pretty awesome! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  22. Any rebuttal now WNY? Like I said I'm quite astute in the laws, I'm not picking a fight with you like you seem to be with me. If you want to hold a grudge and look at everything I do with a magnifying glass then go right ahead. You were wrong twice now, let it go. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  23. Show me the law that says "you can't take a photo before release." I'll wait... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  24. It was over... Until someone tried to restart an argument because he lost the last one, turns out he didn't know the regs this time either. I am loading up to go fishing as a matter of fact! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  25. You should read the regs also apparently, bass season is OPEN for catch and release with artificial lures. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
