FS or FT: Assorted Danner Boots
NYhuntingdogs replied to NYhuntingdogs's topic in Non Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
Danner Light Mojave - SOLD All other boots still available -
Hey I put up a Craigslist ad to sell my compound bow, the ad has a dozen pictures on it ---> http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/spo/5063217295.html I have a very nice, like new 2014 Bear Legion compound bow for sale. The bow's draw length is adjustable from 26"-31" and the draw weight from 40-70 lbs, with let off at 80%. I have the draw length set at 29.5" and draw weight at 60 lbs. The bow was assembled and paper tuned at Extreme Archery in Westchester. The draw is very smooth and quiet while shooting (with dual arc offset string suppressors). I put together a complete hunting package for ~$1000 but didn't get into hunting deer with a bow like I had expected. This was an expensive mistake to make. The bow has been sitting in my attic so I'd like to sell it along with all of the following accessories: Apex Gear Axim 4 Light 4-Pin Bow Sight (with push button light) QAD Ultra-Rest Hunter Fall-Away Arrow Rest Trophy Ridge 5" Stabilizer 3-Arrow Quick-Detach Quiver (Mounts to bow) T.R.U. Ball Diamond Extreme Thumb Release 2 traditional style wrist strap releases Flambeau Safe Shot Bow Case (Hard shell plastic) 4 ICS Bowhunter 400 gr. Carbon Arrows 5 Un-marked Carbon Arrows 12 100gr Field tip (bullet point) 3 100gr Slick Trick Magnum Broadheads (Never used, brand new and razor sharp) Smith's Broadhead Sharpener/Wrench Tool Allen Company Bow String Wax Slick Trick Silicone Arrow tube (Lubricates field tip and arrow shaft for easily removal from target) 1 Target Bag for field tip arrows (fired at ~20 times) I'm mainly interested in cash ($575) but will consider trades for reloading equipment. All reasonable offers will be considered.

Hey I have a question about turkey sign. Do they peck holes in the ground when they are looking for bugs and food? I found an area with a feather, a shotgun shell, and a bunch of holes in the dirt. The diameter of the holes were no larger than that of a dime and there was a good amount of 'em too. The shell was rusted and seemed old. Thanks a lot

Oh dang. Nice pics I like how you bring the dogs out with you.
-
What do you mean? I saw some the other day with patches of hair missing.

I hate litter but how do you deduce that these beers were consumed by people carrying loaded guns???? I found a f*%&in diaper in the woods the other day...

"You can see that she definately has a litter close by..." What do you mean by that? They both sure do look healthy to me.

WNY Bowhunter's 2015 Shed Journal:
NYhuntingdogs replied to WNY Bowhunter's topic in Member Hunting Journals
Thanks WNY. I found my first shed antler yesterday, too. I stopped for a moment and there it was, buried in an inch of mud with the tines sticking out. I wonder how many times I've stepped over one without realizing I was doing so. It's a real small 4 point, still got a bunch of mud on it and all the tines have been chewed on by some critters. Do you have any tips for cleaning off that caked mud? -

Hey, is it legal to have sheds and dead sheds? I found a roadkill skeleton this fall and the skull came right off. I want to hang it up in my garage but it's not tagged or anything. -

Are you allowed to keep the deer? If the ECO doesn't come by, does it just lay there and rot? I'm ignorant on this subject. -
As a new hunter, you won't come out on top money wise by hunting but you'll feel great. Someone above mentioned that red squirrels might not taste great this time of year but your cat won't care. Good luck.

That's normal right? I think there's a legal term for mitigating circumstances and prosecutors/judges do have leniency. I automatically assumed it was someone out there killing for thrill. -

That sucks. Sometimes I wonder if these people are on these boards.
