  4. That pile was from 2 trees. He mainly wanted them up because they are getting squashed all over his drive way. Sounds like ur driving on a rumble strip when pulling in.
  5. I brought a buckets worth home. Ill mow down an area i have upfront that never gets hunted and spread these around and run them over with the tractor. See how many make it.
  6. 4 hrs of rakeing and shoveling, but they are all moved out. Heres a pic of the final pile.
  7. When i was done typing this i assumed id get the illegal baiting angle. Im putting them in a spot i have no stands, my intrest is do deer eat black walnuts or not? And im not going to take a bed full, maybe a 5 gal bucket or two. I will try to mush them down with my tractor.
  8. Im at my grandfathers cleaning up around his yard for him and i have to rake up and haul away a ton of black walnuts that have dropped. I can probably fill half my bed of my truck if i wanted with them. Id like to drop them off in a spot in my woods that i cleared for nut trees and apples. Anybody have knowledge of deer liking them?
  9. Get the kids on the bus, start getting camo on, look out into my field and a nice 6 is waljung through it. 4-5" brows, 7" g2s. I grunt and snort weez at him from our patio. He tyrns around and waljs back to my woods. Sit my butt in my stand i moved yesterday and begin rattling. In 2 minytes here comes a buck. Its the same 6. Pretty tempting buck. Got within 30 yards. I may regret passing.
  10. And then put them away tomorrow afternoon because it heats back up.
  11. Ill be heading in after i get the kids on the bus. That wont be till 830...goodluck out there.
  12. Decided to head to my front food plot which is only about 275 yards from my back patio. I have a tripod over looking it. I get there, and just want to peak in and this young one is walking in. I figured i was screwed, but luckily young and dumb. I was able to back off a little and kneel down. Got within 20 yards and i was trying to figure out if it was a button buck or doe fawn. By that time it figured out i didnt belong there and left after a 5 minute stare down.
  13. Before we bought our house 3 years ago i would shoot pretty much any buck i saw. I would always try to shoot a doe first, then buck hunt but if i wasnt seeing anything id shoot the first deer in range. This was on private property in rushford. I shot 2 nice bucks off that land. I know own a house with 46 acres. 12 acres is crop field, 31 acres is woods. I have put in a food plot, cleared trails, and i have 1 neighbor who shares similar views on hunting. We will let little bucks walk most of the season. But in the end, we go through 3 deer a year. So by the end of muzzleloader season i need 3 deer. I shot my biggest buck ever last year during gun season. I have a buck on camera that goes probably atleast 150". I shot a doe opening morning. I may shoot 1 more doe during bow, and than just wait on a buck. So yes owning land changes how i hunt.
  14. Wife had to get me outta bed this morning. Between the pup waking me up twice to go out and my daughter waking me up bc she had a "bad dream" im beat. But im here blowin around in my pine tree. Good luck everyone

  19. Like u i replace the blades after they pass through a deer.
  20. Up, and gettin ready to head out. Goodluck all.
