Got a good broadside video of the big 9 that I’d like to shoot, and lots of pics of the awkward 6 point that I probably will.

We had neighbors over for grilled chicken, hot dogs and a couple salads... but my wife’s dessert was the clear winner.

Broadhead at 20, then broadhead and 3 field points at 30. Feeling good despite less practice than normal. Next few practices will be from treestand height.

My ultralight is the second smallest pfleuger president on 2 piece st croix triumph. Love that rod and iv caught a few 5lb+ fish with it. I was thinking Stradic, but I know as soon as I drop $200 on a reel I’ll back over it or drop it in the water.

Time to replace my bass rod. I ordered a small Shimano Sahara and I’ll go check out rods in person this weekend. I’m partial to st. Croix but I’ll see what feels good in 6’6” 2 piece. This will be for general use, a step up from the ultralight that’s always in my car. Probably go with 8 or 10 lb flouro.

How often do you check your Trail Cams?

I check at least every other week. I throw the kiddo in a backpack and we hike the loop between 3 cameras. It's nice to get out there and inspect everything plus I enjoy the pics. There's tons of deer there, and I'v never had an issue putting meat in the freezer. If it costs me a smart old buck... that's fine with me. -
Anyone use the jet sled?

Jet sleds are great. I use one for dragging and butchering. I got mine for ice fishing, but pretty much only use it for hunting now. Wish I got the next size up tho. -
