  1. I went back and checked... in the past five years there were two buck fawns taken off our land. Both were mistaken as does. One had buttons, the other had small spikes. And this is an area with both good nutrition and genes. I don't know about the one in your pic @Biz-R-OWorld... I'v never seen a fawn with antlers that size, but I guess it could be possible. More than likely a lame little late born 1.5 spike. Or a freak antlered doe?? Also, the deer I took a few weeks ago off state land had tiny little spikes, and I'm confident it was a fawn. I wouldn't purposely target a buck fawn, but being at an unfamiliar spot, from the ground with a bow... any deer that gave me an opportunity was going in the freezer. Fun fact... I had such low expectations about even seeing anything that day, I didn't bring the trailer hitch rack. So this little fella got double wrapped in tarps and ratchet straps Sopranos-stlye and thrown in the back of my SUV.
  2. Good nutrition can lead to early born fawns having "antlers". These are normally very small, basically the size of normal buttons, but instead tiny spikes. To grow anything more would be rare and odd.
  3. That was wishful thinking... although his aversion to taking does may hurt his odds
  4. Its prediction time @Biz-R-OWorld... How many deer are added to the harvest threads between now and sunset tomorrow? Respectfully, do no include your own harvest in the prediction.
  5. Wooooo... cheers to Bills and neighbors with projector screens
  6. Nice little concolor from the Boy Scouts
  7. Spicy garlic and BBQ jerky... Ready to be packaged up as Xmas gifts.
  8. Who am I kidding... these are my most used and favorite knives
  9. Favorite knives are these two that Iv has the longest. 25+ years.
  10. I have dozens (maybe even 100+) knives and the ones I use the most are cheap Gerbers. These two have a thick, tough blades that stand up to abuse but can keep a decent edge. Having a bottle opener on it doesn’t hurt either.
  11. Whole house has a cold... that calls for pasta + sausage. Hunting in the cold rain should be fun tomorrow.
  12. Correct... Bills just need to win a game to clinch it. I don't want to be watching the Texans/Titans game to see if Bills get in. We already did that 2 years ago with Bengals and Ravens. And what a difference 2 years makes with those 2 teams.
  13. I think its possible for Bills to lose the next 3 games and still make it into the playoffs. Of course... lets hope we don't need to worry about that.
  14. That's one of those grenade launchers you probably read about in the Safe Act.
  15. Get ready... its life changing in the greatest ways. Let me know if you ever have any real-life questions... Ill be honest about what baby gear is helpful vs. useless.
  16. Looks like he killed it at night out of a car. I remember one was killed right by my house when I was in high school. I hope that most NY moose kills end up this way... but it makes you wonder how often people don't get caught. https://www.newyorkupstate.com/adirondacks/2019/12/adirondacks-man-faces-numerous-charges-for-killing-a-moose.html
  17. What a bad day to forget my seat cushion... cold morning and didn't see a single deer. It was still better than working!!
  18. That kinda math will hurt your brain... especially for high paid closers.
  19. Cole to the Yanks FOREVER and Didi to the Phillies. Always liked Didi, they'll be able to fill in the in-field OK without him, but he was was just a fun player to have on the team.
  20. Great work @WNY Bowhunter And there's still one more week for me to get another one for ya!
