How are you guys measuring your follow up shots in the field? I'm the only member of my camp that black powder hunts and never had anyone show me the ropes. Thats why I always stuck to pellets. I plan on taking a trip to bass pro in October and buying a bunch down in Atlantic City to avoid the Haz Mat fees.
BKHunter you don't need to go to AC to get blackhorn 209 powder there are LG here on LI who sell it. and not too far from Brooklyn in Nassau county. There is a shop on sunrise called LI outdoors

Hello everyone I'm new to this site, I've browsed the site a few times and I liked the topics so I decided to join. I went deer hunting for the first time last Jan here in Long Island with a traditional muzzleloader. I took a shoot at a doe but missed. This year I'm trying my luck with a rifle hunt in Nov in emu 4f Ill be using my henry big boy 357. I hope to pick up some useful information here. Thanks
Anyone ever user Blackhorn 209 powder??
