  1. The simple fact is it takes mere seconds to proof read one's work. Posting misspelled words and incoherent rambling exposes the illiterates among us.
  2. Does anyone know how many big game hunting licenses the state sold this year? While I enjoy heading out with friends for hunting me and my friends will all admit that we prefer fishing over hunting. The weather is much more welcoming and the views available on the water, mainly that of bikini clad woman, sure beats the views found in the woods, but hey, to each their own.
  3. Maybe the real "dickhead" isn't the neighbor who is bothering noone but everyone else who is on here bitching about how he uses his own land
  4. I wonder how many "terrorists" are posing as "hunters" this weekend?
  5. Well he clearly was in violation of NJ's assault weapons ban by possessing those banned guns so therefore by breaking the law he must now pay the consequences.
  6. Whatever I have on hand that was brought on sale during the summer. I don't buy into the "premium" ammo thing. Game has been taken for 100's of years with whatever hunters had on hand at the time. It's all about hitting your target, not the ultra-expensive bullet you're shooting.
  7. Well then I guess I would be wrong then. I Keep a small Yellow jacket discharge target in the back of my car that I shoot into.
  8. I think that as long as you don't have a bolt in the crossbow it is considered not cocked for legal purposes
  9. I will not waste my time on a radical group of extremists I have zero interest in supporting, my time can be spent in better ways. Their interests do not align with mine so therefore I am not interested in hearing any defense of their twisted cause. But thanks for thinking of me.
  10. I was waiting for the Harriman NY Cabela's to open but that's not happening. On a positive note Bass Pro Shops are very nice stores, made frequent trips to the one in Orlando when I was living in much warmer climes.
  11. Call me, I'm an accountant and if you made all your money in cash you would be an excellent client! As for hunting before/after legal hunting hours not a morning/evening passes while in the woods during gun season that I don't hear shots being fired before/after so called legal shooting time.
  12. I was asked a question by another poster and I answered his question. If you do not like my answer that really doesn't concern me . And as far as I can recall I have never seen you offer up any sort of solution to what is being discussed. All you do is defend the indefensible position of an extreme, out of touch with reality, fanatical organization that not only me, but as you yourself has said, other gun owners equally find disturbing.
  13. Background checks for ALL gun purchases, including at gun shows (we can expand upon what disqualifies one from getting a gun if you wish) Magazines limited to 10 rounds (you don't need more then 10 rounds either for hunting or recreational shooting) See I'm not out to take anyone's guns, just for sensible laws
  14. Mr VJP, I do have a nice life, and like Ole Blue Eye's has so famously sung, "regrets, I have a few, but then again to few to mention." But be assured I have no regrets for my anti-NRA stance.
  15. Papist you are such a moron that you aren't even worth the time it takes to write a response
  16. Papist, or as I stated in a precious post, ******, until you have something of substance to add to a conversation you should really keep your ******* views to yourself.
  17. Mr VJP I was once a member of the NRA, as soon as they began resisting background checks I saw just how idoitic and fanatical they are and I happily let my membership lapse. The NRA in no way represents my views. As every static clearly shows," more guns" do not equal "less crime". America, with its millions of guns, a large number in the hands of those who shouldn't have them, has by far the highest number of gun crimes then any other country in the world, a fact not even the luntics in the NRA can dispute. Clearly the numbers prove that just the opposite is true, more guns in fact equal more crime. Yet the fanatics of the NRA refuse to even admit that America has a gun problem. So until the NRA can see that the country does indeed have a problem with guns and until they offer a rational solution, and there whole "good guy with a gun" spiel is not a solution, then the NRA is nothing more then a enabler of gun violence. And for these reasons this is why I am firmly against the NRA.
  18. The problems you write of are not grounds to be declared that one suffers from a mental illness. And I do support people's rights to due process, in this case being found to be mentally unstable to possess a gun by qualified medial professionals. Nor am I anti-gun, I do have a few of my own and I take my teen-age daughter shooting quite frequently. I am however anti-NRA. By their complete refusal to do anything to fight the never-ending death and carnage brought about by guns your NRA is the nations leading enabler of gun violence. Their logic is not only dangerous but it fuels further hatred towards them, as evidenced by the recent growth of anti-gun groups, not to mention the new-found calling for more gun control laws from the democratic candidates for president, who up against the clowns the republicans are offering will win the 2016 presidential election. As for being a troll as you can see I am not afraid of speaking my mind on the issues.
  19. I have zero evidence. As you say they are seen as being successful on TV but have you ever asked yourself how are they being used on TV, do they use this things without a deer showing up then fast forward to them killing a trophy buck? It does seem a bit of a coincidence that you see a scene of whomever you are watching grunting or rattling then immediately a trophy buck shows up. Over how many days and hours plus extensive editing do you think it takes to gather enough video to make a successful hunt appear on TV? While I do enjoy watching these shows I also realize that they aren't 100% real.
  20. If it indeed is shown by the ranger to be public land I don't think I would reach out to the landowner. If he knowingly tried to take over state land for his own use I don't think your talking to him will result in anything. Better to just do your own thing knowing that you legally have the right to be there. Just remember if it is state land he too has every right to hunt there and being he already has stands posted I'm sure he will be there hunting them. Either way, whether its state or private, it looks like you're probably better off looking for a different place to hunt cause either way this guy will most likely be hunting there.
  21. That's why I started off by saying "if you're confident".
  22. Which is why people buy them. Ever wonder how they might edit those shows?
  23. If your confident that the land he posted is in fact state land then ignore his posted signs. If he challenges you show him your maps and then tell him he's free to call the authorizes on you and then continue on with your hunt ignoring him and his signs until someone with the proper authority to settle the issue arrives. A friend and I faced this same issue while fishing in Harriman State Park, when we challenged the lady who claimed we were trespassing she angrily walked away never to bother us again.
  24. I think all these calling techniques and scents attract more hunter's dollars then they do deer. I sit at my spot and if no action after awhile I join up with my other posted friend and we then still hunt. If still no action then we go eat.
