Brady Calls NRA "Terrorists"
Uptown Redneck replied to Mr VJP's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Mr VJP I form my own opinion unlike others who simply recite what they see on Fox News or read from the monthly propaganda issused directly to them from the NRA -
Sure beats machete whacking through the woods, plus you can always go fishing when the hunting's slow

Brady Calls NRA "Terrorists"

I've been hunting and shooting since I was a kid and was even a member of the NRA. Seeing how the NRA is now nothing but a group of irrational off the deep end Right Wing fanatics whose views are completely out of step with mine as well as an over whelming majority of sane Americans I can no longer support their warped way of thinking. -
Brady Calls NRA "Terrorists"

The NRA's refusal to promote sensible gun legislation, i.e. expanded background checks to keep guns from those who shouldn't have them, will eventually result in the complete banishment of personal gun ownership as the people of America grow ever more tired of the nonstop barrage of mass shootings only America suffers from. Their complete lack in addressing the ever growing carnage brought about by mass shooters makes them worthy of being addressed as domestic terrorists. -
I shall be hunting state land for the first time this season, my buddy and I have found a seculded spot where we will eagerly await (we hope) the arrival of deer being unknowenly driven to us by other hunters

Speaking from an humane point of view I think such a law makes sense. I see no reason for allowing an animal to suffer after it endures a non-lethal shot from a bow. Of course some will seek to take advantage of such a law, as others here have pointed out, but such skirting of laws is common practice in every situation and should not be used as a reason to prevent the unneeded suffering of wounded game

The way things are today I am shocked that those of you who have posted cameras , especially on public lands, are shocked when you find them missing.

This talk of wanting to shoot people for stealing one's stand is part of the reason gun owners are seen as dangers by the ever growing population of those who are against guns

I sold my old bow through a local "garage sale" website my wife uses, I had it sold for what I was asking within 30 minutes, met the guy locally and had the cash in my pocket within another 20 minutes

That ranting idiot Ted Nugent should be banned from all public airways, his 15 minutes of fame passed decades ago

I brought a Garmin e-trek online from Gander Mountain for $100 because I was concerned with whether or not a phone based app will work in areas without reliable cell service

OK, here is the result of yesterday's testing of the target I brought to shoot broadheads into. The first two bolts passed completely through with only the fletching remaining in the target, they were stopped by the hay bale backstop. The third and final shot (it was raining and I was hungry) as you can see was stopped, it took me twenty minutes and the cutting of an exit channel through the back of the target to remove it. Overall (and for only $20) I was pleased with how it held up so far, will play with it more over the weekend being the expected hurricane is now going out to sea. Still not satisfied with where bolt is hitting, as you can see hitting a bit high and to the left. think maybe a few more clicks on the scope will make me happy

OK FastEddie, will do

Returned the Buck Commander block to Walmart and brought a Field Logic Yellow Jacket discharge bag from Dicks for $20, figured for the price it will do the job of fine tuning my bolts (might need some duct tape to keep it together). Plan on trying it out tomorrow after work, hopefully it won't be raining. Will post pics of how the target holds up.

I don't see why not, I'm shooting Montec G5 100 grain 3 blade broadheads with my crossbow, just be sure the blades align with the fletching
